The Desert Boot was first built by a juvenile Nathan Clark in 1949, inspired by the boots favoured by off-duty army officers and sold in Cairo's mythical Old Bazaar. Since then the shoe has been reinvented, rejuvenated and re-packaged through the ages - and has been worn by icons from Steve McQueen, Bob Dylan,

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Desert Boot, a collection of special edition shoes will be unlocked; including a tweed couple, recalling the Fifties; a Liberty publish paisley pair inspired at the Sixties; an acid-washed denim couple,
