I'm not well indowed with knowledge on creating and working DNS on Win2k3 server. For any high-quality several months now I have been utilising my server like a net router,
Office 2010 Professional Plus Serial, immediately after my hardware router packed in. In lieu of making use of ICS I setup routing parts manually to get a challenge and to master from them. I mannaged to setup Routing and Remote Accessibility with a NAT, I setup DNS about the server simply to pass on word wide web identify requests to my ISP's DNS servers. I last but not least setup DHCP to allow the laptop or computer around the network know this information.
This setup had been running good for the good several months now lacking me necessary to mess about with it in anyway. Immediately after comming back to my property right after an Easter Break I discovered the DNS service to the server seemed to crash following a number of minutes of use (just common webpage searching). Restarting the service only appeared to do the job for a very few mins then it would crash again.
If I ran nslookup on the server or one of my networked pcs I might obtain the subsequent message when DNS was Crashed.
[code:one:789fc82082]
DNS Request Timmed out
Timeout was two seconds.
*****Can't track down server identify for handle 192.168.two.1: timmed out
Default Server: unknown
Deal with 192.168.two.one
[/code:1:789fc82082]
When the DNS services IS working and I load up nslookup I get this message.
[code:1:789fc82082]
*****Can't get server title for address 192.168.two.1: Non-Existant Domain
Default Server: unknown
Handle 192.168.two.one
[/code:1:789fc82082]
While the DNS services is like that it will give good results and pass on title requests onto my ISP. I have a feeling that is the problem but I havn't been able to discover a solution to the problem.
Network setup
Server has 2nic's
100mbps NIC is connected to the cable modem and gets it IP from that.
1000mbps NIC is on the LAN side and has the Handle 192.168.2.one,
Office Standard 2010 Activation, this NIC also point to itself for DNS (this was recommended within the tutorial I was following on creating a DNS).
The 1000mpbs NIC is connected to a 8port switch which the household pcs connect to.
The main use of the DNS service on my server is to pass all word wide web DNS requests onto my ISP's DNS servers. I havn't setup and forward on reverse lookup zones or route hints. Simply installing the services and starting it worked for me so I left it be.
The network is NOT working on a domain it is setup with workgroup called NETWORK. The server is nammed server,
Office Pro Plus 2007 Activation Key, full name is server.lestorouteworks.co.uk It has the identify as the domain identify is owned by me. The server dosn;t want to be used in anyway with the website. I uses the hosting companys DNS servers and Server space to host my website.
Server hardware is
2x P3 1ghz processors
512mb ram
100mbps onboard NIC
1000mbps Netgear GA311 Nic
System drive is 80gb WD 7200rpm drive with 14gb free
Other drives are used for File storage.
Event log messages from the DNS services:
Event ID 113: The DNS server could not signal the services "NAT". The error was 1168. There may be interoperability problems between the DNS service and this service.
Event ID 708: The DNS server did not detect any zones of either primary or secondary type during initialization. It will not be authoritative for any zones,
Windows 7 Starter 64 Bit, and it will run like a caching-only server until a zone is loaded manually or by Active Directory replication. For significantly more info,
Office Pro Plus 2007 Keygen, see the online Help.
Event ID 2: The DNS server has started.
