The black fishnet tights accompanied apt the invitation said it all: Jean Paul Gaultier was in raunchy mode.
And, so it ensued, as his autumn/winter collection,
scarpe hogan, shown at Paris Fashion Week, last night,
Air Max 1, opened ashore a stage set resembling a Parisian bordello.
The theme of the collection was always approximately exposure: Glimpses of flesh discerned via fishnet-filled holes in trench-coats and clothes; unveiled in hosiery with "windows" of transparency running up the thighs; alternatively represented in helmets with criss-cross visors shielding the models' eyes. Even the black,
vibram 5 finger, patent boots had the fishnet pattern cut-out down the calves,

_4352, while fox and mink jackets were worn with black netting vests.
