Default the current Motion Control DNA

What About Reba?: The Reba fork line shrinks a morsel, losing the 120mm travel another, which moves to the Revelation platform. Now only available in 80 or 100mm variants, the Reba wasn’t forgotten by Rock Shox, but has become quite maybe the “sleeper” fork of the line up. Rock Shox has taken the Reba and migrated it more into a XC species fork by giving it the same chassis as the SID fork, and offering it in a 9mm QR or 15mm Maxle Lite with the classical Motion Control you already know. The Reba will too be available in Black, White, or “Diffusion Black”, and will come with either a tapered steer tube, or 1 1/8th steerer, Dual Air spring, Dual Flow rebound, and either the RLT or RL levels.
Recon Gold and Silver Models: The Recon line continues into 2012 with the addition of some features that have trickled down from the Reba of old. These models will be available in 80 or 100mm travel versions. The Gold series, which has aluminum uppers, will be available in either Motion Control RL or Turn Key damper variants, while the Recon Silver, with steel stanchions, will only be available with the Turn Key damper. All Recon variants will be made available with either a straight 1 1/8th steerer, or tapered steer tube in aluminum with external rebound control, Solo Air spring, optional 20mm Maxle through axle criterion, and Push Loc or Pop Loc remote lock outs. Colors include Black, nike shoes sale, White, “Diffusion Black” , and “Diffusion Silver”. Claimed weight for a Recon TK Gold with Solo Air is 1755gm.
The XC 32 will be the only one offered afterward mart and ought be available whichever day immediately with MSRP at approximately $220.00USD
Next, let’s cover the Motion Control DNA. This is basically an evolution of the old Motion Control with a new structure for the spring tube inspired by the shape of a double helix. Rock Shox claims it is lighter weight and more accurate. The XX SID and Revelation have the option of the XLoc control over the Motion Control DNA damper. The RCT3 Damper is a new three position setting damper with the following choices: Open, Threshold, and Lock. Basically, broad open, in among, and locked out. There is a separate cheap speed compression adjuster on the RCT3 as well. The RLT version is essentially what you are used to with Motion Control. Adjustable compression from broad open to lock, and the low speed compression correction with the new Dual Flow rebound and new DNA spring tube inside. The RL version loses the low speed compression adjuster, which is instead a plant pre-set, but is otherwise the same as the RLT version. Dual Flow Rebound has been around a bit, and essentially is a user adjustable rebound for small bump rendition with a factory pre-set for the biggest hits.
New XC 32 and XC 28 MG 29 Forks: Rock Shox has dropped the age Dart models accustomed because entrance class 29″ers and has replaced it with what looks apt be a quite likely line up of models called the “XC 32″ and “XC 28MG” variants which carry over some of the sometime features of the second generation Rebas, favor the Power Bulges in the fork lowers. These will be 80 or 100mm peregrination forks. Basically, the forks will entire function Turn Key damping, 9mm fast release drop outs, and will have optional Push Loc or Pop Loc remote type bolt outs. Where they disagree namely in the stanchion size for denoted in the model label, (32mm vs 28mm) and in the steerer, which only the XC 32 will attempt in a narrowed edition, meantime the XC 28MG will offer only a alternative in straight 1 1/8th steerers in aluminum or steel. Colors offered will be similar apt the Recon sequence, and claimed weight for one XC 32 TK with aluminum steerer is 2200gm. (Note: We only had an image for the XC 28MG, not images for the XC 32 were accessible at post time)
Claimed weight for a SID World Cup w/Maxle Lite is 1582gm. The media spec page lists a SID WC with 9mm QR at 1450 gm. Interestingly, Rock Shox says the 29″er SID World Cup is lighter than a 26″er SID World Cup fork from only a couple years ago. Availability for the SID forks is projected to be in August with MSRP’s ranging from $750.00 -$1190.00USD
New Revelation 29: Longer Travel Forks Are Here: While it has been rumored for months that a Revelation 29 inch fork would appear from Rock Shox, many of you readers said you said you would be dissatisfied if it didn’t come with 36mm stanchion diameter. Well, you might be disappointed in the 32mm stanchion diameter here, but I will say this: As long as I’ve reported on 29 inch product, the mantra has not been, “Build it and they will come.”, but preferably, “If they come, we will create it.” In additional words, whether Rock Shox, (and doubtless the other fork contractors, as well), see riders snapping up Revelation forks, and asking for more, then I would be pretty wondered if the forks didn’t evolve. But, this is a discussion for variant post…..
Product launches are a dizzying business at times and seem to come earlier and at odder times than ever, merely hey! We’ll post it when we get it! This is the latest from SRAM/Rock Shox ashore the newest forks for your 29″er, and what you’ll penetrate gracing the front ends of a lot of companies 2012 29 inch bicycles. Obviously, the biggest newspaper, the SID 29 and Revelation 29, have been rumored or released as coming product yet, but no with the details, and here they are….
SID 29″er Fork Models: On the lightweight, XC side, Rock Shox has the SID, now in 29″er savor. The SID will be offered in the retinue versions for 29 inch wheels: SID XX World Cup, SID World Cup, SID XX, SID RCT3, SID RLT, and SID RL. The World Cup versions will be available with the Black Box carbon crown/steerers in tapered version only. Colors will be available in Black, White, or Keronite Gray. The forks underneath this will have aluminum steerers available in straight or tapered styles. The XX World Cup gets the “X-Loc” remote, while the World Cup gets a cap mounted lock out. The other SIDs will be available with a varying degree of adjustability reflected by the “RLT3″, “RLT”, and “RL” designations, which will be annotated further down. Colors for the other SID forks will be Black or White only, and all will be available with 80 or 100mm travel, Dual Air spring, the new Motion Control DNA, (unraveled further down the post), “Dual Flow” rebound, and either 9mm QR or “15mm Maxle Lite” axle options.
Revelation 29 forks are slated to chance available in July-August with MSRP’s from $765.00 to $930.00USD
The Revelation will feature the same Motion Control DNA and Dual Flow rebound as the SID 29,Nike Moon landing Shoes, and will also feature a chilly climbing setting for the air spring Rock Shox is calling “Dual Position Air”. All Revelation variants will feature either of these technologies, while an option for standard Dual Air will be offered on Revelation models as well. Those variants are: Revelation XX, Revelation RCT3, Revelation RCT, and the Revelation RC. Revelation forks will be offered in the 120mm, 130mm, and 140mm travel range. Revelations will only be offered in a 20mm Maxle Lite drop out version, and will also only be offered in a tapered steer tube. Colors will be Black or White. The XX version will be available with the XLoc Remote as well, while the other Revelation models will have Push Loc or Pop Loc remote options with the exception of the RLT3, which will be explained below. Weights range from 1806 gm to 1855gm for the Revelation XX.
That’s about all for now. We’ll post extra details when we get them. Thanks to SRAM for the information and images.
Technologies: First, since we just said the Dual Position Air spring, let’s cover namely. Basically, it is a pry mounted on the altitude of the fork leg that adjusts the volume of the climate spring down about 30mm, lowering the front end for climbing. A rider will discard the pry and move down to refresh the lower situation for ascending. When you absence max travel, simply throw the pry behind and full travel is reinstated. The lever has about a 110 degree sweep, and as distant as we know now, does not have a deal bar mount remote adoption, however it would be hard to trust namely isn’t in the goes for the hereafter.
Claimed weight for a Reba RLT with tapered drive tube and 9mm QR drop outs is 1584 gm. Lock out types will include the Push Loc or Pop Loc remote. Availability for the fashionable Reba forks is any day now with MSRP’s ranging from $521.00 to $680.00USD
Recon 29 forks should be available any day now with MSRp’s in the $340.00-$375.00USD range
