Timberland- finding new “used products� to create | at your senses

Commitment to People and the Planet Timberland is best known for their shoes and outerwear collections. I admire them most for their sincere commitment to the planet and people. They are a company producing products, this in itself, is a negative, but can it be done in a positive way? Besides trying (the not so little feat) to be carbon neutral and aiming to offer their employees a fair, safe and non-discriminating work environment, they have a few interesting projects. I will mention two of them. Community Greening Services This is about Timberland sponsoring service events that will work to strengthen communities <a href="http://www.loveinmoncler.com"><strong>Moncler Jackets</strong></a> by improving green spaces and access to the outdoors. It is about: Grassroots Reduce, Reuse and recycle Engagement, Education All this done carbon neutral Designing Recyclable Products They say they are designing products that has an afterlife. This means at the <a href="http://www.loveinmoncler.com/moncler-kids-moncler-kids-down-coats-c-23_27_31_32.html"><strong>Moncler Kid's Down Coats</strong></a> end of a product’s life, it doesn’t go into landfill, but becomes an input for the next generation of products. One example is, their Men's Earthkeepers® Micro Fleece Full Zip. This jacket is made from 98.5% recycled PET (plastic bottles) and 1.5% recycled coffee grounds. I love that they are using- usedÂ*coffee grounds and looking forÂ*new alternative used things that can be woven into a reuse. That is creativity that leads to change and deserves respect.
