Thumbs up Encarnacion delivers extra inning win for Jays

Jose Bautista watches his solo homer clear the left field fence in the fourth inning of Toronto's eventual win over the Los Angeles Angels in extras on Sunday. (Darren Calabrese/Canadian Press) Edwin Encarnacion's two-out RBI single in the bottom of the 10th rallied the Toronto Blue Jays to a 5-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday. The Jays took the rubber match in the three-game series. Toronto had tied the game in the ninth inning on a run-scoring double by Brett Lawrie of Langley, B.C. Fernando Rodney (2-5) walked chanel bag classic Yunel Escobar to lead off the bottom of the 10th. Jose Bautista walked with one out and left-hander Hisanori Takahashi came in to face Adam Lind, who popped out to bring up Encarnacion. Jon Rauch (5-3) got the win. Jordan Walden blew a 4-3 lead in the ninth trying for his 27th save as he gave up one-out doubles to Colby Rasmus and Lawrie to tie the game. Lawrie then took third for his first career steal but J.P. Arencibia struck out and John McDonald popped out. Angels starter Dan Haren allowed five hits, including consecutive homers by Eric Thames and Bautista in the fourth, three runs and no walks in his outing. Angels up early Toronto starter Brett Cecil gave up a homer to Torii Hunter in the first, allowing four runs and five hits over seven louis vuitton authentic innings. Hunter extended his hit streak to 12 games with his 15th home run of the season following a two-out single by Bobby Abreu. The Angels went ahead 3-0 in the third when Peter Bourjos tripled, then scored on Alberto Callaspo's sacrifice fly. Haren retired his first 10 batters until Thames and Bautista both homered in the fourth to make it 3-2. It was the seventh time this season Toronto has hit consecutive homers. It was the seventh homer of the season for Thames and 34th for Bautista. The Angels scored in the fifth on consecutive two-out doubles chanel jumbo bag by Bobby Wilson and Bourjos. The Blue Jays pulled to within 4-3 in the sixth. McDonald led off the inning with a double, took third on Escobar's lineout to right and scored on Thames' groundout. Former Toronto left-hander Scott Downs gave up an infield hit to McDonald to lead off the eighth. Escobar sacrificed him to second. Rajai Davis hit for Thames and grounded to shortstop Erick Aybar, who threw out McDonald at third for the second out of the inning. Davis suffered a torn left hamstring reaching first and Mark Teahen ran for him. Teahen went to second on Bautista's single before Lind grounded out to end the Renew Your Wardrobe Wisely By Cheap Designer Handbags threat. After the game, Toronto placed Davis on 15-day disabled list and recalled infielder Mike McCoy from triple-A Las Vegas. Abreu opened the ninth with a single against Frank Francisco and stole second and third around Hunter's groundout. But Mark Trumbo grounded into an unusual double play on his grounder to third. First Abreu was caught in a rundown trying to score before Trumbo was also caught in a rundown to between first and second for the third out.
