Abstract Flower Paintings : Massive issues in the world of oil paintings? possibly not immediately but certainly in the near future.What I hear you shout, something that has not been spoken about in the news.This giant issue is lurking out there and about to strike. So what is this really all about. What horrible problem could be lurking to befall us and we’re unaware of its existence.Basically the problem lies with the web itself. Not the technical bit I have no problem with that. Also I do not have any qualms with the webs existence as an idea . Page 1 and the first 10 positions for any common search phrase are valuable marketing opportunities. It’s position one or zero cash.This has led the marketing people to try anything to scam their way to the top. The normal response by people such as Google has been to mess with their software and attempt to beat the con men. This brings us back to oil paintings and the huge issue. The people with the cash and or the greatest technical bods are camped in the top ten places. This makes it very difficult for the smaller artists to break through onto the web. The top positions are not only held by the bigger players they are normally held by companies selling cheap prints. The evil that is hiding within the oil paintings field is the internet or mainly Yahoo’s destruction of the independent art provider. The only way this can be rectified is either to modify the way that the internet is structured. Or for the artists to be more technically aware and compete with the talentless technical print specialists. We sell art through the internet for money. I can tell you that with a clear conscience. I have to make a living to pay the bills and have rent to pay. I am not belly aching about this only because it is difficult out there. I think about the artistes out there finding it hard to earn a crust. My artist friends Mark, Stella and Paul have great ability but little cash and even less knowledge of the internet. This is okay as a brochure but that is it.Without some serious help and finance they and lots like them will be stuck way back on page ten. That or stuck in a field some where trying to sell their art to market shoppers.
