Default Win 7 Win7 Excel7 SBS2003 users don’t see others

Verified identical path to very same file on two Win7 PCs
Both can open identical file concurrently without ‘read-only’ warning, and save changes
Both can see updated date/time on file on server, office 2007 professional plus, however when they re-open the file, they see only their changes, not that of the other user.
I’ve verified rights on the server share and folder.
I’ve been unable to find recommended configurations for this configuration.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
It sounds like your server is not managing and locking files correctly. You can review the following article on Opportunistic Locking and check your server settings. 296264 Configuring opportunistic locking in Windows You also want to make sure that both of your users have Read,Buy Windows 7 Home Premium PC Games, Cheats, Walkthroughs, News, Reviews, Previe, Write, Change, and Delete permissions to the share. Those permissions are required for Excel to save correctly.
