Cheap office Home and Student 2010, not because I write a blog about working at Microsoft ... but because it's about figuring out what's important to you in a job - whether that's working at MS or somewhere else. Long-time readers know that I left Microsoft a couple years ago. Like Dare, I hit that 5 year mark and thought a lot about what the next step in my career should be. I thought about joining some other big players out there, but I didn't genuinely see how they were going to give me something different - but I did decide to take the leap and go independent along with another former Microsoftie. Say what you will (I have said it plenty of times myself ... probably even here on this blog , but Microsoft's ability to provide varied and exciting work (and even honor flexible work arrangements rocks. And I - without a doubt - am now working with some of the most amazingly talented - and fun - people out there. I am so thankful for my journey,

I totally get that. But I hope we can provide information here and on some of our other websites (like " href="" target=_blank mce_href="">View<myWorld>, Microspotting, and our Facebook page) to help you make the right decision for you. And if there's something else you'd like to see, let me know in the comments,
