Petite Bridesmaid Dresses, thanks the community for supporting her second annual Prom Dress Drive. Last year the event collected 400 dresses and Legislator Dixon believes that mark was far surpassed this year.
"It was amazing," she said. "The number of people who donated beautiful gowns and dresses was overwhelming. I haven't received the final tally yet from Urban Valet Dry Cleaners
Homecoming Dresses, who is busy cleaning the gowns, but I already know we have exceeded my goal for this year. This was truly a community effort and I sincerely thank everyone involved."

The next step, Legislator Dixon added, is the fun part - shopping. High school girls from across Erie County are invited to shop for a free prom dress during two events. Shopping days will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday

"Dresses are available to anyone in need, or for those just being careful with their money," Legislator Dixon said. "A new prom dress can easily cost hundreds of dollars and is usually worn just once. These two shopping days allow girls to get a great dress without worrying about the financial burden. We have so many beautiful styles in a variety of colors and sizes. There are short and long dresses, and some are brand new. Everyone should have a special dress for prom so I encourage anyone who is interested to come and pick one out."
"The Eden Central School District is happy to support Legislator Dixon's Prom Dress Drive again this year," Eden Sr./Jr. High School Principal Marc Graff said. "After last year's success, we are hoping that this year even more families take advantage of this outstanding opportunity."
