Good on ya fellas. Those brave and heroic Syrians should not have to battle alone. I am deeply moved by the Syrian people's struggle for freedom, all to have a say into their own future. Those people are exceptionally courageous. Let the world know there are still heroes that walk this Earth and their name is Syria.

No country has the right to interfere with affairs in other coutries,

I guess I just don't get it why is it we can give aid and money to other countrys. And yet we have American men,
Sony HDR-SR7, women, and children sleeping on streets . Sick with no care, and our own civil liberties that this country of "FREEDOM" was founded on are being taken away by the government that is supposed to protect those liberties. But still American citizens sit back like sheep to just be told what to do its your life wouldn't u like to be able to be happy while u live it .

it is for common humanity that large nations like the USA and Britain interfere in another nations domestic concerns,
Canon XH A1, as no matter what country or nationally a person or group of people come from they are still human(s) and should not be killed just because they want change.
The US is bombing the hell out of Libya,
Sony HDR-SR12, killing civilians and combatants alike. Admitting that their military is killing Afghan civilians for sport. Using torture to get what they want,
Sony HDR-FX7, treading on the rights of their own citizens,
Sony PDW-700, slowly destroying the morality of society wherever they go. The new governments put in power such as in Egypt are going to be an infinitely bigger problem that the ousted governments.

Oh how splendid. The US condemns human rights abuses in Syria but of course gives a blank check to Israel,
HTC Snap, a place whose human rights abuses and crimes against humanity are legion.
I agree USA there are serious issues here at home when it comes to citizens trying to voice their opinions regarding political changes that have taken place or when they try to protest against something in a peaceful manner. I almost laughed when I read in the article that they were sanctioning the country because "the Syrian government have overseen and carried out attacks on protesters, harassed demonstrators and ...." I haven't been to one protest where that didn't happen here.
I have heard time and time again the frustration the police have felt by getting into a house moments too late. With reasonable cause the police can bust down your door.

Why in the name of decency can not the USA and Britain for that matter, keep their noses out of things which are not their concern.
18-05-2011 ORIGHTMAN (USA)
Us should worried about whats happening out here, thats why the us is the most hated country in the world, because they put their noses were its none of their businness. And you ask yourself why the US is hated, theres the proof.
What they should worry about is keeping jobs in america energy independence, better infrastructure,
Canon Vixia HF S10, and taxing the rich for making way too much money.
Under the United Nations Rules of War, any who specifically targets non-combatants and civilian populations are no longer subject to protection under these rules. Thousands of human beings across Africa are killed, tortured, and raped every month. Why the fixation with Israel. Israel has a free press and exposes abuses. In Islamic Countries we only find mass graves after the fact.

economic sanction limits economic growth in that country even more, how is that helping human right? this is really getting old
it will take more than sanctions to stop the murderous alawite regime. In the name of humanity they must go.
we need some sanctions levied against us! Indiana now says cops can kick down doors without search warrents,
JVC GZ-HD40, we have extreme right wing terrorists attacking middle class everywhere on and on everything.. where are sanctions for us?
Totally agree with Palomar...can even smell the government bulls**t from here!

Well I was trying to get a feel for what sort of news site this is. Reading the comments so far pretty much answers that question (progressive) with no hint of any sort of objectivity. Deleting from favorites (yeah I got a position but no point in posting that here based on what I can see.

Palomar a blank check to G-D's Chosen People? Crawl out of your cave. Your frozen view is less then microscopic. THERE ARE NO GREATER HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES AND CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY THAN THOSE THAT ARE COMMITTED IN THE ARAB WORLD; WITH THE PLO,
Sony HDR-CX500V, AND IRAN AT THE TOP.Israel took the desert and turned it into an Oasis. Haiti a country that despises Israel- Guess what? First on the medical scene post earthquake. Tunnel vision,
Canon GL2, Sir Palomar.....

"Why in the name of decency can not the USA and Britain for that matter, keep their noses out of things which are not their concern." Yeah, because next time I hear of some good samiritan saving someone from murder or rape I'll critize them for not "keep[ing] thier nose out of things that are not their concern"

I agree with Palomar. USA and UN has forgotten the large abuses comitted by Jews against Palestinians during decades. Until when...
18-05-2011 Gab to Palomar (USA)
Palomar, as a Taxpayer you should only concern with the issues that of your country's foreign policy. Don't jump all over the places like a policy maker, right now let's focus on Syria. And don't forget, we do the things we do because we are the melting pot of the World.
The withholding of Obama has encouraged him to commit more crimes.
He tortured not only the peaceful demonstrators but also their families and his forces have stolen the properties of the demonstrators ' family.
18-05-2011
why it's happening?
Al-assad regime behavior really was as Mafia and not as government and the international committee should deal with Alassad as Mafia chef.
Wounded people could not be entered to hospital and the people and drivers who take them to hospital either killed or tortured. This regime did worse than Al-Gaddafi and Milosevic.
