Colors were true to life and gorgeous, and thankfully, not too saturated. They were natural, and precise.
A pleasant surprise was the quality of still shots. People place WAY too much weight on the number of pixels on this camera, especially when they don't know what they are talking about. This unit has a 3.3 MP chip, more than enough to reproduce superb still pictures up to about an 8x10.
After I bought my HF200 camcorder, I decided to go on a well deserved vacation in the beautiful Bahamas. I loved shooting videos with it as it is so light and portable. I could take it virtually anywhere! When I got home, I connected the camcorder via HDMI cable to my HDTV, and I was delighted! Picture quality from the Vixia HF200 was superb, possibly BETTER then my blu ray DVD.
In conclusion, My family had a wonderful time on our vacation in the Bahamas! And, we were able to preserve those memories as they occurred, thanks to the Canon HF200!
The camcorder really shined when shooting outdoors scenes. I actually thought I was watching professionally produced movies.

I love to tinker with the many adjustments on the HF200. I am thrilled with the Sound quality. A great tool enables users to control the level of sound recorder during recording. This is truly a professional tool not normally found in machines in this price category.
If you are in the poster business, than additional mega pixels would be necessary. It is so small and lightweight that I can put it in my camera bag that I carry on my belt!
