Survey: Almost 50 percent of IT experts strategy to work with cloud storage - 01/28/2011
A modern survey performed by a cloud storage and data safety provider found around 50 percent of IT professionals have strategies to use cloud computing technologies for information storage.
The survey,
Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 Key, which polled about 230 IT specialists,
Windows 7 Professional, covered a range of industries,
Microsoft Office Standard 2010 Key, including schooling,
Microsoft Office 2010 Sale, govt, technologies, financial solutions and production.
According to the survey,
Window 7, roughly 49 % of respondents program to adopt cloud computing remedies because they provide dynamic expansion and can support to cut back IT bills.
Forty-four percent mentioned they strategy to employ the cloud for backup purposes, although 38 % indicated they ended up interested in utilizing cloud storage for information archiving.
The survey also located security and privacy ended up the concerns stopping the largest variety of firms from adopting cloud solutions. About sixty % of respondents indicated these considerations would be the biggest barriers to further cloud adoption.
The need of several IT experts to adopt cloud computing reiterates the findings of the recent Unisys survey. The survey indicates cloud computing is a top investment priority for most IT organizations in 2011.
