What's better than a new purse? Buying one where the proceeds benefit Sonoma Valley's only animal shelter. On Friday, April 29, Pets Lifeline hosts "Tailwags and Handbags(welcome to choose our hermes birkin bags)" at Estate restaurant from noon to 2 p.m.
During the event, attendees are treated to a gourmet lunch prepared by Estate while more than 50 gently used handbags(
designer handbags) will be available in a silent auction. The handbags(designer handbags), all donated by Pets Lifeline supporters, range from designers such as Hermes, Gucci and Tiffany (yes, the jewelry designer also makes wholesale cd bags) to wholesale cd bags handmade by Valley residents.
"We have some really unique one-of-a-kind waist bags, but we also have some basic, standard wholesale computer bags that can be used everyday,

As the event takes place the same day as the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, King is hoping to have television screens to showcase the highlights during this girlie afternoon event.
"It's sort of a post-Easter, pre-Mother's Day ladies event," she said, adding, "We haven't had an occasion for a man to want to come, but we wouldn't exclude them."
King said the idea came from the Arizona Animal Welfare League, who threw an event by the same name to benefit their organization. King said she contacted to organizer to get tips on running the luncheon event, who were eager to help a fellow shelter.
"The first thing we did is put out the word for bag donations," King said. "So many people stepped up with pencil bags that had never really used, it was great."
