So picture this ... It is the morning of your big interview. You are sitting in building 19 on the Microsoft campus, fully suited up, with your interview questions swimming in your head. You clutch your cup of coffee and nervously look down at your campus map, wondering what your first white board question will be. Then all of a sudden, someone asks you if you can play the guitar - and you are rocking out to the video game Rock Band 10 minutes before your interview starts. I witness that exact scene every morning in our lobby, and it's awesome! Our building has had Rock Band installed for a while now, and every morning different groups of interview candidates are rocking out to their favorite Guns 'N Roses song. You will have MIT on the drums,
Office 2007 Serial, Harvard student on the bass, Florida State on the guitar, and NYU singing lead vocals. It's like the United Nations of Rock Band ... People coming together from all walks of life, letting lose before they start their first interview. I think it’s a great way to relax before the day starts, and it always brings a smile across my face when I see candidates taking it really REALLY seriously. Keep on Rockin!
