Professional and amateur photographers snapped away Sunday as northwest Louisianans donned their springtime best to capture the memory of another Easter holiday.
A perennial favorite location for family portraits is the 40 acres of gardens at Shreveport's R.W. Norton Art ##############. There, men in pastel green shirts and matching neckties posed alongside girls wearing flower print dresses with ribbons tied at the waist.
Botanical scenery ranged from native pine and oak trees to arid scenes with cacti planted among boulders. To add to the peaceful atmosphere 2011 prom dresses, a wind chime gonged away some 30 feet above gravel and brick trails. Just outside the museum A-Line dresses, a waterfall babbled over weathered rocks.
Kathleen Clark has been taking photos of her children off and on at the Norton for 25 years. Her youngest, 8-year-old Amelia Ball gowns, loves to strike a pose. They often go when the 15,000 azaleas are in bloom. But Easter came late this year prom dresses 2011, and most of the flowers have faded and fallen.

Sunday was the first time the Davis family took pictures at Norton. But it won't be the last if mom Kiauwanna Davis has her way. She hopes to return later in the week.
Davis said her children look forward to getting new Easter outfits to wear at Shreveport's Peaceful Rest Baptist Church and to show off in photos.
"I'm just trying to fill up my album and add to the collection pink prom dresses 2011," she said. "It's so relaxing out there. I didn't want to leave."Topics related articles:
