Located in the mountains of Western North Carolina in historic Black Mountain,
Acoustic Corner is a different kind of musical instrument shop. In these days
of large corporate chain-stores and impersonal internet sales, Acoustic Corner
offers an array of unique acoustic instruments in a hands-on, relaxed, helpful
atmosphere.
We feature guitars, mandolins, basses, bouzoukis, banjos, violins, lap
dulcimers,Windows 7 sale, and other instruments popular in Celtic, Old-Time, Bluegrass, Jazz, and
other acoustic music styles. Most of our instruments are hand-made or manufactured by
hand in small factories. We also carry a full array of accessories, books, recordings,Windows 7 Home Premium, and
instructional materials.
This website is your opportunity to get to know us and the shop, and learn a bit
about what we do and what we offer. This is not an e-commerce site. We strongly
believe that each instrument is unique, and we encourage our customers to come visit
us and experience the instruments first-hand. A limited amount of mail-order is available,
however, if a trip to the Southern Appalachians just isn't in your plans.

» SPRING CLEANING! «
We've scrubbed the showroom from top to bottom, and done a massive rearranging. Come see the new digs! Plus, we've put a pile of percussion and wind instruments on sale,Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise, as well as our usual inventory clearance 'purge'. Lots of goodies for really cheap! AND, all B-Band pickups are on sale!

THE CONTINUING CRISIS OF SUPPLY AND DEMAND
We're starting to chase down all the instruments we've had on backorder, and here's where we stand:
KALA UKULELES - Apparently the last container ship had some mechanical problems, and docked at Japan for repairs . . . at the worst possible moment. Kala tells us that there will be a delay, but eventually it will get here.
EASTMAN STRINGS (violins, etc.) - Eastman is busy filling master orders for their larger dealers, leaving nothing on the shelves for the rest of us. Almost everything we've asked them for is backordered till May, or June. They do this every year.

CHANGES AT SWANNANOA GATHERING
For those who know us through their participation at the Swannanoa Gathering, be it known that Acoustic Corner is changing venues and hours. Starting this year, we'll be in the lobby of Jensen (the main classroom building next to Sunderland) during the day, Monday through Friday, from roughly 10 to 7. We're excited about the new location (and the air conditioning!). See you there!

Often, instruments advertised on the internet at discounted prices are not even available; the advertised price is simply a marketing strategy. Directions to Acoustic Corner
Black Mountain is located 17 miles east of Asheville on I-40. Acoustic Corner is located
in the central business district, but slightly off the beaten path.
From I-40, take Exit 64
and head north, on Hwy 9,Windows 7 Ultimate Key, into downtown Black Mountain. Cross the railroad tracks, and go
through the next two lights, putting you on Montreat Road, after an odd little jog at that second light.
Turn left almost immediately into a parking lot, just past White Horse Black Mountain; Acoustic Corner
is at the back of this lot, on the left.
