The two usually don’t have much in common, but for one Forest City High School Senior prom dresses 2011, her prom dress could pay her way into a University.
“It was really tough trying to figure out exactly how we were going to do it, we’ve never done anything like it before purple prom dresses,” Forest City Senior Megan Kirschbaum said.
Over the past few months, Megan has hand crafted her very own prom dress.
“It’s all completely made out of duct tape, it’s not taped on any dresses,” she said.
The senior came up with the idea after hearing about a competition online more than five years ago, awarding the best duct tape dresses.
Kirschbaum added A-Line dresses, “They’re judging them and giving them scholarship money cheap short prom dresses, so I thought, you know what short prom dresses, I’m going to do this in high school.”
And so began hours and hours of sticking, cutting purple prom dresses 2011, and designing.
However, Megan didn’t stop when she finished her own dress, she also made her date’s tuxedo.
“Surprisingly, he was really supportive, we was alright with it,” she answered when asked about her date’s reaction.
The duct tape dress Megan put together for prom is not the first one she designed this year. First grad dresses, there was a post card dress for Homecoming and a Pokémon card dress for winter fest.
And behind the scenes all year was mom.
“It’s amazing, I got to spend a lot of time helping and working with it A Line prom dresses,” Brenda Kirschbaum, Megan’s mother.
Putting together three homemade dresses might have taken its toll on the mother and daughter, but the final product speaks for itself.
Brenda continued, “Most of it was enjoyable, some of it was confrontation, but we got it done and I think it turned out amazing.”
Megan added, “I hope people are just like whoa cheap long prom dresses, that’s impressive.”
Megan used around 80 rolls of duct tape, adding up to around 1,600 feet.
3-M donated the rolls for the project.
She'll now wait to hear back to see if she's a finalist for the scholarship.Topics related articles:
