Ben Sheets Comes Up Big
With the Brewers entering last night's game against the Cubs in third place, 2.5 behind the Cubbies, there wasn't a whole lot of room for error for Ben Sheets in his return to the mound. Add in the fact that Sheets has had blister problems recently and his middle finger still isn't completely recovered from the ligament tear he suffered in July and things could've gotten ugly quick last night. Instead,
prince 03 squash, Sheets delivered six one-run innings and helped the Brewers to a 6-1 win,
headphones monster, keeping them in the thick of the NL Central.
I don't think I can stress enough how big this win is for Milwaukee. For six weeks,
MBT Chapa Shoes, the Brewers have been losing ground fast and looking to the date that Sheets would be back as their chance to turn it around. If he would've bombed last night,
babolat drive tennis, I think the Brewers would've gone completely flat (sorry, I'm feeling punny right now) and could be pretty much written off. Now Sheets is back and he sounds determined:
"You wait here for seven years (his tenure with the club) and to not be a part of August was tough. But there's a month left and I want to make the most of that month."
I know the Brewers have been bad, but it's stupid to count anyone out in the NL Central,
asics rotation, ever. A month's worth of starts from Sheets instead of Chris Capuano (or someone of his ilk) may be just enough.

Today I am leaving for a two week vacation to Europe. My long lost college roommate and I are going to be hitting up Spain and Italy and in Italy Vlad will be meeting up with us for a Gondola ride or two! I am super excited for this vacation and this time will actually be vacationing. We are lucky enough to have someone who will write posts for me while I am gone, Nerdphanie! You all remember her as a guest blogger! Now she is signed on as a two week blogger to fill my spot. She will bring you lots of new bags and goodies to look at. I will be posting sporadically, but not my usual four or five posts a day
