Default University Avenue growing busier

The avenue becomes more difficult to navigate at Allen Street, where it narrows from Louis Vuitton Sale four lanes to two. (Kevin Yarr/CBC)Despite upgrades to Charlottetown's University Avenue, the street has increasing problems, says a city councillor, because of measures to divert traffic out of surrounding residential areas. Coun. Dave MacDonald said it's worse in narrower sections, where there are many businesses. "We recognize there are some issues south of Allen Street, and some of those are going to have to be dealt with by infrastructure changes at some stage," said MacDonald. "We're also looking at things like whether we should make some streets one way. It's a big, big issue. What we're recognizing is that Louis Vuitton UK all our thoroughfares, we're going to have to deal with them as a bundle, because when we do traffic calming on the residential area we're going to be forcing traffic onto all these other streets, not just University Avenue." MacDonald said city council will finalize its plans in the new year. Charlottetown police is warning drivers to be more aware L ouis Vuitton Outlet Store Online in high traffic areas. The two accidents that have happened on University Avenue in the last three months have been caused when motorists turn left, crossing into oncoming traffic.
