Hamadani doesn't like to be restricted by particular schools of art. Instead he prefers to live the absolute freedom that the artists should have.
Hamadani finds inspiration for his ideas from mundane things. "Indeed, from all things mundane, in the words of Anna Akhmatova: If only you knew what trash gives rise/to verse......"
"If it doesn't you don't eat something because experts recommend it. That said, if you go around the world and taste foods from different cultures' cuisines, your taste buds are more cultivated and discerning." .
After the exhibition,

The exhibition, Between the Lines, will see them articulate their perspectives and emotions about the contemporary human situation in witty yet eloquent artistry styles, depict their state of mind and debate their expressed concepts.
Between the Lines will be on view until February 26 at the XVA ############## at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
According to him,

The biggest challenge for an artist is not to think. By limiting oneself to a certain school of art or thought we are limiting ourselves. And an artist should not have limits,

"The only way one can educate oneself about art is to see it. And that is a personal experience which is more valid to the person than the view of any ‘expert'. Think of art as food, for example. If it tastes good to you, it is good food.
"One doesn't have to be a painter to do this. There are many people who have never touched a brush or paint and they are artists in that they are contributing to the reservoir of beauty and meaning."
He explains more about his perspective on art to Weekend Review. "I believe there is a mission for human beings on this Earth. The point of our lives is to create beauty and meaning. As (the Persian poet) Hafez says, ‘If you don't bring a new meaning to this dreamy canvas of universe, then your work is for naught even if you are a Chinese portraitist.' Remember that in his time Chinese artists were lauded as the most advanced. So if we don't create something new, if we don't explore beyond where others have explored, then our work is wasted.
Hamadani said he cherishes art at the present time because this is the time that he can influence and make a difference.
Asked to explain the elements of compositions of his displayed paintings and how much time he took to finish them, he replied: "It doesn't take long to do a painting. However, to be an artist, that for sure takes a lifetime."
A bunch of famous Middle Eastern artists — such as Simeen Farhat, Mahmoud Hamadani, Morteza Zahedi, Mohsen Ahmadvand and European artist Al Braithwaite — are gathering under one umbrella at the XVA ##############.
Hamadani holds a BA in Mathematics from the State University of New York and a masters in public administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
At Between the Lines, Hamadani will showcase a series titled Haiku,
Piumini Moncler, a form of Japanese poetry that is minimal in its structure. "I have been in two shows at XVA before and I am glad that the first show of my paintings is at XVA. I will have eight paintings on view,

Similarly, said Hamadani, "there are those who paint all their lives and they are not artists because they are not doing anything new. If you repeat what others do,

Asked what he looked forward to drawing, he said: "My main challenge in drawing is not to interfere with what pours out of me. So I look forward to seeing what comes out of this process."
Describing art as an "optical experience", Hamadani said the ordinary viewer could educate himself on understanding the difference between good and ordinary art only by seeing it.

Hamadani believes artworks should be self-explanatory to open a dialogue and understanding between the artwork and the viewer, and effortlessly entitle him or her to get the meaning.
An artist,

"There are a couple installation proposals I am working on. One of them is for the Museum of Islamic Art in Qatar. I like that museum and I have a perfect installation for the pool in front of it. One of these days I am going to send my proposal to them. I am also working on staging an opera in New York. Other than that I always draw," he said.
"The only message is the artwork itself. I believe a work of art should be viscerally expressed. Once a work is finished, the artist's work is done. If you have to explain your work, then you should go back and redo your painting so that it wouldn't need explanation," he said.
