How to Restore Swarovski Crystals
Swarovski has been making fine crystal since 1895. Daniel Swarovksi patented a faceting machine in 1895 that made it possible for a machine to do precision crystal cutting and that is how the line of Swarovski crystal began. Swarovski crystals are used for beautiful lighting, jewelry and even fashion design. Since Swarovski crystals have a special patented coating they need special care when being cleaned. This can be done at home with easy-to-find cleaning products.
Clean off as much surface dust and dirt from the crystals as you can with a soft crystal cleaning brush.
Rinse the crystal very quickly under warm running water to clean away the loosened dirt and particles. Do not leave the crystals in the water for any length of time.
Add window cleaner to a bowl of water one drop at a time until the water is colored and very slightly soapy.
Dip a cotton swab into the cleaning solution until it is just wet. Rub the swab on any of the stubborn spots on the Swarovski crystals.
Wipe down the crystals with a polishing cloth to remove the cleaning solution and any fingerprints. Only use a clean cloth to treat the crystals.
Spread the crystals out on a dry,Thomas Sabo Snake Chain, lint-free cotton cloth to dry overnight. Put the crystals when completely dry.
