HIDEOUT for CONVERSE FIRST STRING: CHUCK TAYLOR LOWS & HI – SATURDAY (7/30) RELEASE: “Possibly one of the most recognizable designs in footwear, the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star shoe was the natural collaboration choice for London-based retail store The Hideout. The Hideout, which champions a refined approach to basics, embraced the Chuck Taylor All Star shoe as an icon of minimal, clean, utilitarian design and chose to emphasize and enhance those elements with subtle details. The result are three all-new, stylish versions of the shoe with two low-tops in heavy duty duck canvas and a high-top in suede. Each feature thoughtful details like triple-needle fabrication that make the shoes more rugged, yet still true to the original design. The triple-stitch detail also evokes quality work-wear and utilitarian clothing, echoing Hideout's principle of featuring only utility-styled goods. Other details include contrasting canvas heel stripes with stitched leather overlay detailing. Rounding out the design, the shoes look extra crisp and fresh with their clean white soles and a black license plate logo on the heel. ‘We view the Chuck Taylor All Star shoe as a perfected everyday item. Its design has transcended generations and subcultures and fits alongside Hideout's history with street style and our reverence to basics and utility,’ says Hideout founder Michael Kopelman. NIKE MENS – AUGUST ’11 ARRIVALS: Nike Free Run 2 is “that shoe” this summer. Everyone I know has a pair of these. OK, you got me…I only know 3 people, but goshdurnnit, those people like me! Aaaanyway, every Free Run 2 colorway we have brought in has sold out faster than some hyped up SBs, and homies’ been Nike I.D.-ing them <a href="http://www.jindantuan.com/"><strong>团è´*网 </strong></a> too, which I didn’t know people still did. So yeah, FR2. Crack rock. Get yours (the shoe-not actual crack rock. Crack is wack. There is no arguing this point.) Livestrong Free Xilla with “Cushlon” outsole, which sounds like the most comfortable shoe EVAR. I personally prefer the eyelet lace system, but this is a total teched out shoe so I’m sure there is a better reason for this lace option than what I like. What do I know anyway, I can’t even run a 6 minute mile :/ I love everything about this Lunarglide 3: the colorway, the mesh upper, the overall design…its all good. They even ran a super soft cloth material on the heel to prevent any chafing whatsoever. I can imagine running in this shoe is so effortless that it’ll feel like you’re lying down on your couch at home. OK, that was a stretch…. Dear Nike, you could have easily stopped at the Italian camo jumpoff. I am not mad at this colorway at all, but it just feeds into the Nike practice of excessive production. There has been like seriously 46 colorways of the Kobe VI this year. This isn’t the Air Force 1 anniversary, guys. Meh. But hey, this colorway is still sick.
