Not as ugly as some of the other MBT Shoes Clearance I have seen. I always wear size 8. I got these in 8.5. Glad I did, they fit well. I think 8 would have been to small. My pinkie toes were rubbed quite a bit the first few walks...approximately 5 km or 3 miles. I have worn them 3 times now and they feel better. I feel as if my posture is improved when wearing. Much less expensive to buy via Zappos.com and have my sister mail them to Australia. I got them on sale. Don't have too much of an opinion on the shoes overall as I have only worn them 3 times. I don't have any complaints and I have a few friends who just love theirs. They definitely taper at the toe and I could tell just by looking at them initially that they were probably going to be snug.
