Gears of War 3 will be released Sept. 20, 2011.

The Limited Edition SKU will include an Octus Service Medal,xbox live codes, Adam Fenix Multiplayer Character, Infected Omen Weapon Pack, Fenix Family Mementos & Fabric COG Flag, and the Octus Award Box display case for the Octus Service Medal at $79.99.

Amazon.com Inc. this week is offering a $20 Bonus with the pre-order purchase of Gears of War 3.

Microsoft Corp. and Epic Games Inc.’s Gears of War 3 for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 horded the top 15 game sales at Amazon.com Inc. amid building demand for the sequel.

Gears of War 3 Epic Edition includes Gears of War 3 Limited Edition, a collectible Marcus Fenix statue, The Art and Design of Gears of War, and the Infected Omen Weapon Pack – custom multiplayer skins for the game’s five starting weapons; Lancer,Microsoft Points card, Retro Lancer, Hammerburst, Sawed-off Shotgun, and Gnasher Shotgun at $149.99.
In Gears of War 3, users fight as Marcus Fenix, leader of Delta Squad, 18 months after the fall of the last human city.
This week, Gears of War 3 ranked as the No. 15 best-selling product in Amazon’s Video Games division.

Microsoft in Apr. released the Gears of War 3 Multiplayer Beta which includes three new multiplayer versus modes on four new maps.
Epic Games Inc. in Oct. said Gears of War 3 will utilize dedicated servers to facilitate online play.
This holiday it will sell the Xbox 360 Limited Edition Star Wars Kinect Bundle at $449.99.








Current Xbox 360 stand-alone SKUs include the Xbox 360 250GB hardware at $299.99 and the Xbox 360 4GB hardware at $199.99.

The dedicated servers are said to offer balance and optimized online play. In addition, the development team has made online code improvements.
