Division of Accounting

On the fiscal side, faculty research spans all areas of empirical monetary accounting research, such as investigation on capital markets, company fiscal reporting and company disclosure, also as related topics in investments and corporate finance. Teaching

The Accounting Division is supported by the Paton Accounting Center, whose mission is to do all that is necessary to maintain our tradition of excellence in accounting education. That excellence is driven primarily by the effective interactions amongst outstanding students and outstanding faculty. The Paton Center operates various funds that provide support for students and faculty. Its mission is achieved by facilitating activities that attract and help to retain students and faculty of the highest caliber. The Paton Center and its numerous specific initiatives, for example the Kapnick Workshop Series, have played a central role in maintaining the superb accounting education in the Ross College of Organization.
