The Shoe Genius: Christian Louboutin
Now we all know how the saying goes: diamonds are a girl’s best friend. For me diamonds are a good friend, but my best friend? Shoes,
christian louboutin купить, of course. And make that
Christian Louboutin shoes to be exact. In my dream world, I would have a closet full devoted to his magical and transforming creations. For now, I just get to lust from afar, but in the meantime let’s take a look at how the shoe genius came to be.
One of the things that makes Christian
Louboutin so interesting is the fact that he got his start as an apprentice in the dressing rooms of Paris’ famous cabaret the Folies Bergère. He was extremely inspired by showgirls and wanted to make shoes that would make their legs look amazing, but also that the girls felt comfortable wearing. He was only seventeen years old when he began that apprenticeship and now he has become a regular on the red carpet worn by celebrities and on every fashionista’s wish list.
Before Christian Louboutin opened up his own shop, he designed shoes for Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Maud Frizon. He now sells his shoes in forty-six countries worldwide and has fourteen stand-alone boutiques. In a recent class of mine,
louboutins sale, I found out the secret behind his trademark red soles: he was busy working on a sample shoe, when he noticed his assistant was wearing the most stunning shade of red nail polish. He snatched the bottle and painted the sole in attempt to lighten it up and add the perfect, final touch. That red sole is now his signature and is sought after by millions.
You might think that with a high-profile client list, such as Oprah, Sarah Jessica Parker,
christian louboutin pre?o, Cameron Diaz, and Nicole Kidman, one may let it get to their head. Not Christian Louboutin, who still remains extremely humble and compassionate. To quote a recent Times article that portrayed his career, “At a recent personal appearance at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City, he canceled his flight back to Paris in order to spend another two hours signing shoes. For a woman who confessed that she was “just a housewife,” Louboutin signed the sole, TO MY FAVORITE HOT HOUSEWIFE. A blushing bride asked him to sign her wedding shoes, and he grabbed a blue pen and wrote, HERE IS SOMETHING BLUE.”
I always say that my first big paycheck is going straight to
Christian Louboutin. With an average retail price of $800 I am forced to love from afar, but one day I will make my biggest fashion wish come true.
