Microsoft announced plans this week to open a new research middle in Cambridge, MA … The Microsoft Research New England lab. I have to say the center’s leader,
Microsoft Office 2007 Key, Jennifer Chayes, sounds way cool: “She options daily tea and cookie gatherings to foster communication between people on both teams and between computer scientists and social scientists in her own lab.” And I love this quote: "We want to hire the smartest people," she said. "If amazing people come to us who don't fit into those areas, we'll hire them anyway." I think Ariel has found someone new to Microspot. With the New England lab along with the new Boston Concept Development Middle (which will focus on product development versus investigation) and other offices in the area, Microsoft will have many more career opportunities Beantown. Good news for all you Red Sox fans. ;-) Check out current Microsoft openings in Massachusetts. And keep checking back as these two new centers continue to staff up. Gretchen
