ITWire ran an exciting story that spotlights a whole new get to the netbook that may well hit the market shortly. Unlike most netbooks which can be driven by possibly Linux or Windows XP, this netbook is powered by an iPhone.
What can only be explained since the Palm Foleo two.0, but for iPhones and not Treos, this exciting OLO gadget is rumored to make use of the OS in the iPhone to enable a much more productive, notebook-friendly encounter linked to Net browsing and day-to-day info entry in apps ranging from blog posts, on the web docs, email, and notes.
With OLO, the iPhone not simply supplies the OS
Purchase Windows 7, but also serves since the device’s trackpad.
While the Palm Foleo never made it to the marketplace, I hailed it as a trendsetting system that would inevitbly force the migration and evolution of the phone becoming the central hub for all of our mobile communications and computing needs. It suffered from the right idea
Office Ultimate 2007, but the wrong engineering and execution.
With the mass proliferation and enthusiasm of iPhones and their owners, the OLO might pave the way for a a lot more successful venture in placing the phone at the center of everything.
Time will tell however, as will the specs and details with the OLO iPholeo (not the real name) when they’re available.
I am intrigued.
