[Ed] had a netbook he no longer required and decided to produce it into a mini MAME cabinet for a few of his household members. MAME cabinets are rather plentiful, but this one particular was so nicely carried out,

He taken out the check from an EeePC 901 as a way to get some exact measurements, then went about crafting a mini cabinet from MDF. The entire thing was wrapped in sticky label paper adorned with old-school Galaga graphics,
Cheap Office 2010, then covered in plexiglass to get a great sleek glimpse that also safeguards the artwork.
He employed an iPac 2 controller board to wire up all the buttons and joystick towards the netbook, opting to solder the controller’s wires directly on the USB header on the eeePC’s motherboard. A power switch was added up on top for easy operation, and the cabinet was sealed shut,
microsoft Office 2010 Activation, though the back does open easily in the event that maintenance is required. The system is managed using the Maximus Arcade front end for MAME, which [Ed] claims is incredibly easy.
