Ah yes, another triumphant story of what appeared to be an easy prey purse snatching of an innocent looking 77 year old lady that stopped a robbery! This took place at a Kangaroo Express store in Jacksonville Florida. The Kangaroo Express in Brooksville Florida sure could have used her in their store a day prior as they were also robbed!
The suspect in the Brooksville store pointed a knife and took money from the clerk just after 10:00 pm. Luckily no one was hurt in this incident. Now the store in Jacksonville! A twenty year old punk went into the store and pointed a gun at the clerk demanding cash.
When the money from the register wasn't enough for him, it was then that he grabbed the elderly lady's handbag. Little did he know she was packing pepper spray on her key chain!
Chief David Stevens of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office stated, "She got him good in the face"! The police picked him up a short distance away. This punk was linked to 6 other robberies in January alone on the city's south side by surveillance footage and by witness identifications.
