Man charged in series of robberies in Saskatoon
A 18-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly robbing several people at knifepoint, including a mother and her two children, in Saskatoon early Saturday morning. The first robbery happened at about 12:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of 22 Street West — three men were assaulted, two of which were robbed at knifepoint. The two men suffered minor injuries. Two and a half L ouis Vuitton hours later, a 31-year-old woman going home with her 10-year-old boy and an infant child in the area of 23 Street West and Avenue F North were also robbed at knifepoint. The woman suffered minor injuries. The Louis Vuitton suspect matched the description of the man in the earlier robbery, police said. At about 5 a.m. police were called about a disturbance at a house in the 200 block of Avenue F North. When officers arrived Louis Vuitton UK on scene the man jumped out of a window of the home and tried to run, police said. He was caught and arrested. Evidence linking the man to the three robberies was found, including a knife, police said. The 18-year-old man has been charged with three counts of armed robbery and one count of assault. He is being held in police custody until his first court appearance.
