Thumbs up Madden NFL 12 - Breaking down the new Franchise | Cheap NFL ...

As Madden NFL fans may have heard, there has been lots of changes to the pro football simulation’s Franchise mode. The game mode now features Dynamic Player ratings, larger rosters, major changes to the Draft process and a host of other large and small adjustments. To help players wade through what’s new, here is a breakdown of some of the key changes, along with some of the subtle yet satisfying tweaks in Madden NFL 12. Dynamic Player Performance Details: As our review notes, players’ ratings now fluctuate week to week based on performance. Bad games set players on a cold streak, while breakouts create a hot streak. Rating changes vary depending on Consistency and Confidence meters. The low a player’s confidence and consistency, the more broad the alterations in skills. There are also trait-based changes specific to put. Do you use it? Typically, yes. A low-confidence quarterback coming off a bad game can make more erratic throws the next week. But a Tom Brady, for instance, will remain even despite one bad (a treadmill great) game. I did experience one odd occurrence with Vikings QB Donovan McNabb. After scrambling out of the pocket and fumbling the ball out of bounds, my performance in those areas got nicked. Player Roles Details: Special players are assigned one of 23 roles that may positively or negatively affect your team and opponents. For example, if your computer-controlled team drafts a “QB of the Future,” they won’t pursue free agent QBs or draft a QB in early rounds, while a Shutdown Corner improves his coverage skills and hurts the opposing QB’s ratings. Does it work? Longtime Madden fans likely recall Player Roles in the PlayStation 2 days, and it’s great to have this feature back. They appear to possess a significant effect on gameplay, too. Carrying the “Injury Prone” tag, Reggie Bush got hurt on a couple plays during one game, while “Deep Threat” Desean Jackson of the Eagles burned the defense on the long pass play. Cut Days Details: Preseason rosters have expanded, allowing players to manage Cut Days week to week to narrow down to the ideal squad. Sometimes, overall ratings carry question marks, so virtual owners can’t tell whether they’re cutting the next star. Players often respond with confident comments, such as “See you within the Pro Bowl.” Does it work? It’s a nice touch for players who would like a higher level of treatments for their teams. It may be time-consuming, but players can invariably shut this if necessary. Rookie Scouting/NFL Draft Details: Together with scouting rookies throughout the regular season, there’s now predraft scouting broken down into Pro Days, the NFL Combine and Individual Workouts. Each unlocks certain segments of their expertise, for example speed and strength during the Combine. When virtual owners get to the Individual Workout, they unlock everything including overall rating <a href="http://www.monclercoats-cheap.com/"><strong>moncler coats</strong></a> and potential. Players then take that information to create decisions within the Draft. Do you use it? This may be my favorite element in Franchise mode. Owners can definitely tailor an in depth strategy for improving their team, and make careful decisions on whether to bolster positions via free agency or draft. Why is this work is owners can find gems in later rounds, too. During my Redskins franchise, I drafted an excellent running back in the fourth round who has quickly worked his in place the depth chart. Also, those top picks can carry strong overall ratings, allowing proprietors to throw them in to the mix early. Free Agent Bidding Details: Free agency starts when a team helps make the first bid on a person. Time starting around 1:30 starts ticking, as owners make bids on players. Whoever has got the top bid when time expires gets the player. Owners then move on to contract signing, where they choose from back-loaded, front-loaded or evenly spread out deals. Does it work? Not necessarily. The idea of bidding is interesting, but there’s no option in place to review free agents prior to the process starts. Owners can look into the news wire for player cuts, but it is not organized well. So, most of the time, owners go in flying blind, frantically checking which players can be found and throwing out bids. Also, it’s too easy to sneak in at the eleventh hour and grab the player you want. What’s missing? Midgame saves. Despite accelerated clocks and Gameplans to hurry up action, games with long quarters take awhile to accomplish. It would be nice to determine Madden bring back the ability to save a game at halftime or each time a player chooses. The holdout factor. Superstars will often sit out preseason or perhaps the regular season in hopes of getting a brand new contract. However, that does not seem to be represented <a href="http://www.cheapstraightenersghd2011.com/limited-edition-iv-dark-styler-p-5743.html"><strong>cordless straighteners</strong></a> here. Faster interface. It takes quite a long time to navigate menu options in this game. Very frustrating.
