Breaking the Colors Rules and Painting the Bathroom with #Glidden ...
I started to paint our main bathroom 2 1/2 years ago. I began CHI Pink Dazzle Flat Iron to rip down the old wallpaper border, and filled in all the nail holes. Then I didn’t get any farther, because I was six months pregnant. I ran out of energy. Then life got busy after my second child was born. I just never found my way back to the project. Well, it’s time to finish it now. Time to stop hoping when guests come over they don’t need to use the bathroom. Currently the walls are painted off-white. I’m tired of off-white, but with this green sink in the bathroom what other color can I use? I need to find something that goes with that. I headed to Walmart to pick up some Glidden testers. Glidden sells small bottles of their paint colors, so you can take them home and try out a color before committing to it. The Glidden Brilliance Collection has many colors to choose from. I really didn’t’ know where to start. I picked up this card Men Nike Shox R2 Shoes that suggested colors to go with a green color scheme. After a lot of wavering back and forth I finally decided to try these three colors: Soft Blueberry, Celery Sticks and Mustard Seed. I love that the testers each come with a little brush. That makes it so much easier. The directions on the bottle said to paint a three square foot sample. That’s a lot of paint to cover up after I pick one of the three colors, so air jordans retro shoes I painted much smaller patches. I painted them near the sink so I could see the colors next to it. I actually like the celery sticks, but you can barely see it. There isn’t much difference between that and the off-white that’s on the walls already. The Soft Blueberry — no. Just no. I like the color, but not with the green, and not in this small room. So Mustard Seed it is. It goes well with the green sink, and it’s a color that’s in my shower curtain. I’m really glad I used the testers first. Can you imagine if I’d covered all the Lebron james new shoes » Free Online Dating Mingle Arena walls with a gallon of Soft Blueberry, then decided I didn’t like it? Yikes! So what do you think of my color choice? I’ll reveal the completed project in about a week. Click the Glidden ad in the sidebar for a coupon good toward the purchase of a tester at Walmart. Thoughts are my own.
