Default Butt out time

At last week's shareholders meeting in New York, Mr Camilleri was tackled by a cancer nurse about the addictive power of tobacco.
While it would prove Mr Camilleri's point, it would be a delight to see Philip Morris close its doors. But as long as people are foolish enough to smoke monster beats dre, there will be companies willing to profit from their decision.
Those days are long gone. In the face of a staggering weight of scientific evidence about the dangers of tobacco, Philip Morris is now remarkably frank about the perils of the products it sells, and Mr Camilleri has publicly acknowledged that smoking is both harmful and addictive.
Nicotine is a stimulant that is highly addictive. Why else would millions of people spend a small fortune inhaling a substance into their lungs in full knowledge that it puts them directly in the firing line in terms of health problems? If it weren't addictive why have tobacco companies gradually increased its content in tobacco?
Tobacco companies must present a difficult proposition for the people who work for them.
Philip Morris sold a staggering 899.9 billion cigarettes in 2010 which brought in revenues of US$27.2 billion ($34.5 billion). That's a lot of smokes and a lot of money.
Mr Camilleri marlboro cigarettes coupon, a smoker, responded by pointing out that there were now more reformed smokers than smokers in the United States, and said that smoking was not difficult to quit.
OPINION: Louis Camilleri has set the smokers of the world a challenge. Let's hope they are up to it, and they put him out of business.
According to Philip Morris's 2010 annual report, it is the leading international tobacco company welcome to cheapnewportcigarettes dotcom (4), with seven of the world's 15 top tobacco brands, including Marlboro, in its line up. It sells cigarettes in 180 countries, and has an estimated 27.6 per cent share of cigarette sales in the world, excluding China and the United States.
Addicted smokers and scientists would beg to differ.
Mr Camilleri is the chairman and chief executive of tobacco giant Philip Morris, one of the world's largest manufacturers of the product that has been linked to a number of cancers.
In the bad old days the industry fought hard to prove that tobacco was a wonderful product that could not be blamed for cancer or anything other than making you look cool, relaxed and attractive to the opposite ######.
Working for a company that produces a product that causes untold misery for millions of people may be a difficult moral and ethical dilemma for them.Mr Camilleri and his colleagues have one great ace up their sleeve that salves their consciences. As addictive as smoking undoubtedly is, consumers ultimately have freedom of choice. The best thing they can do for their health, and for themselves marlboro cigarettes website, is quit.
