steps:

Install supplied or other software on computer

1 Turn the vehicle ignition off

2 Locate the 16-pin Data Link Connector and plug the item into the connector

3 Turn the ignition on (needn't start the engine) and press enter

4 The scanner will now search for the specific protocol for your vehicle
