Tech-Archive recommends: Fix Windows Mistakes & Optimize Windows Performance
From: David Glass <dglass@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
Date: Sat, 2 Dec 2006 15:18:25 -0800 Recently (last couple of days) a client of mine has been receiving messages like the following:
The message cannot be delivered due to a configuration error on the server. Please contact your Administrator.
<mail.clientserver.com #5.3.0 smtp; 553 five.3.0 <validaddress@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>...Addressee not known, relay = [clientserverIPaddress]>
It does not happen for all outbound mail (mail to me works,Windows 7 64 Bit, for instance), rather only a few addresses. I can't see a pattern in those that get 'denied'.
What is this? How do I fix it? Is 'the server' actually the client's server or the receiving server?
Usually I treat 'addressee unknown' issues with short session on the address book,Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2007, contacts,Windows 7 Professional Key, and autocomplete,Windows 7 Serial, but the 'relay =' bit is new to me.
Any help would be appreciated.
