Lakme Fashion Week Spring 2010: Day Four
Anupama Dayal’s collection “Joie” was jolly indeed with all the colors that she used….electric blue, cobalt,
hogan sneakers, light green,
new hogan shoes, chocolate brown,
nike air trainers, red and oranges in fabrics like silks, voiles, tissues and satins. There were some playful dresses,
ghd products, colorful tunics and interesting prints. The ones that stood out for me though were the chromatic embellished dresses.
Rehane’s collection was, and I hate myself for using the word, ‘cute’. Girly-girl dresses, shorts, petticoat tops in fabrics like silk, organza and chiffon and colors like yellow, cream and red always made up her collection. The use of rose idea was interesting, am pleased she didn’t overwhelm the garments with all that print and embroidery. A collection that was definitely sweet without being sickly so.
Mandira Wirk’s accumulation phoned “Humble Luxe” had a color palette of light browns, faded oxidize and linens favor fabric, silk and jersey and the chips seemed quite summery and cozy. She very liberally accustom ‘zippers’ in her dress namely just weren’t functional but likewise joined visual interest apt the clothing,
Christian online, quite on the trend! We are appreciate that the accumulation wasn’t all but draped dresses for when they see interesting because almost a minute, they get ‘tired’ robust quick. The sheer tea-stained clothes with spotted coral/rust publish had me looking forward apt Spring. Even whether it has to be the next one.
A pinch of Giambattista Valli, a bit of Dolce & Gabanna and smattering of Valentino is what immediately came to idea while I saw this latest attempting from Gauri and Nainika. Sticking to their niche, the ladies served up more evening-wear albeit with shorter hemlines and more corseted profiles in a palette that included solely of red, dark and white. The bows and roses were dramatic and the robes and their styling appealed to be tagged ‘old-world’ with that unmistakable vintage charm…all of which that I would’ve whole-heartedly appreciated had I been blind to the International runways. It’s a losing battle I know because it’s only a stuff of time before we penetrate these robes on the red blanket and on numerous, many tinsel town ladies.

Photographed by Hugh Lippe and styled by Keegan Singh, the Ginta Lapina Exit Magazine spread also has the blond siren posing with bad girl authority, kneeling more than once on the ground, offering ‘come hither’ looks and sitting in an inviting pose sporting some seriously ######y garters.
