Xpsp2 With Office2007 Does just about anyone know what is leading to the lag and severe slowness when accessing
specifically outlook2007, word2007 and so on, you're able to sort complete sentences

pause/thinking when building new messages...i've disabled addins, removed
indexing,Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2007 Serial, am now going by means of xp to slim it down as IE7 isn't impressive on
speed either(that's another thread), hardware is high spec'd-exceeds min
req's and already done testing on this, i've removed all 3rd party software
therefore solely trying to rectify xpsp2 and office2007 LAG - the only
solution thus far is to remove office2007 completely to resolve issue, though
that's not really a viable option-any thoughts or suggestions would be
greatly appreciated

Xpsp2 Word 2000 While trying to convert a (WordPerfect) file to MS Word 2000, I was told that I need to download the "word file conversion utility". As I was installing the utility, I was then told that I first nedded to first install "sp1 & sp2 for word 2000". after this installation, I then tried to continue the install of the word file conversion utility, at which time I was then told I need to put the CD, "XP Office Professional" to continue. Of course I don't have XP Pro, I have the OEM for Word 2000. I am sure that I am not the only one this has happen to. HELP ...... anf thank you. ♫¿♫
Xpsp2 & Xpsp3 Nightmare Disk Defrag no longer working after XP SP2 was installed my error message reads: "MMC cannot open the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\dfrg.msc, this maybe because the file does not exist, is not an MMC console, or it was created by a later version of MMC. This may also be because you do not have sufficient access rights to your file". To state the obvious: the above suggestions are incorrect, the file does exist, it is an MMC console, dfrg was downloaded from XP home edition CD and I am the administrator to this computer Internet explore no longer working after XP SP3 was installed I have uninstalled XP SP3 as a result and I am currently using XP SP2 I need Disk Defrag for all the obvious reasons so can you please send me any solutions or fixes to these problems please help
Office2007 Just bought a computer with Vista and added the Home version of Office 2007. Now I want to add Korean language support so the wife can type letters in her native language (like she did in Office XP.) All I see is the IME for XP and it won't install on my machine. I tried setting up the Korean keyboard in the Contol Panel, but the keypad just shows english characters. What am I doing wrong?

Office2007 Install App I hope that they are going to improve the Application that installs Office2007. The radio buttons only allow installation of one item (such as Office) and then exits the install program. You've got to restart the application to install another item (such as OneNote). Why doesn;t it return on the selection screen or have chech boxes so you ac install multiple items?
Office2007 Downgrade My company doesn't allow Office 2007 on staff WinXP/SP2 PCs because we don't have enough licenses. However,Windows 7 Starter Activation, we do for student PCs. Staff PCs run Office 2003. An associate inadvertantly installed Office 2007 on a staff PC. Now I need to perform the downgrade to Office 2003 fro Office 2007. I have an Office 2003 & 2007 Installer CD. These are my steps & issues: I uninstall Office 2007 as administrator. But when we try to run Office 2003 apps as Admin or a basic staff account, it errors out and doesn't launch any Office 2003 apps. I've tried logging in as local administrator using Office 2003 'setup.exe' and 'pro11.msi' files but to no avail. Autorun does not launch. Office2007 And Emailing SendObject does not permit adding external file attachments...a glaring ommision as near as I can tell. I was wondering if it now allows other files like Word/Excel files to be added/attached? Or is there another updated method within the app that makes Email a simpler task? I recently loaded MSOffice on a trial basis as my wife is taking ECDL classes and needed Office. Anyway, Access2007 is integrated but the classes use Access2003, which makes things difficult for my wife so my question is whether I can somehow download Access2003 and use that instead? If so, how? If not, can I get the entire Office 2003 suite - from my look around Microsoft's site, it appears not but I could well be mistaken. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Office2007 With Access2003 Is there any reason we shouldn't or can't upgrade all but Access to Office 2007? We discovered some database issues in testing our 2003 databases under Access 2007 but the enterprise insists on the Office2007 upgrade. Might I suggest leaving Access as is while upgrading the rest of the Office suite? Thanks.
Office2007 Beta Trying to install 2007 onto XP Pro machine that is in domain and connected to Small Business Server 2003 /2. After the install with no messages and I open Outlook I get the message that Outlook folders were closed incorrectly and it asks if I want to restart the business contact manager. I have restarted and passed on the restart to no avail as Outlook will not start and when completing a restore to 2003 the .ost file is corrupt. People have a solution for the problem.

Install/Register Cdo 1.21 On Office2007? I have a workbook built in XL03 that needs for being transferred and run on an XL07 machine (running on XP). I had a few missing references, all of which I've been able to resolve except CDO 1.21. CDO is used to generate automatic emails from Excel, without the user having to approve each one (this macro will be running at 2am each day, and the end user for some reason isn't enthused about the idea of coming in at 2am every day to approve emails ;-) Can any one provide advice on the most straightforward way to get CDO1.21 registered on the XL07 machine, especially without having any negative impact on MS Outlook? I tried using the ExchangeMapiCdo.MSI but wasn't able to get it to install; error was "Messaging API and collaboration data objects 1.2.1 cannot be installed with Microsoft Outlook" (Outlook, and all other programs, were closed at the time of the attempted install) Many thanks for any advice or assistance,

Also, although I can create a hyperlink to a file on my PC in Word, Excel and so forth when I click on it,Office 2007 Standard Serial, it doesn't work. In all cases I get the following error message: "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on your computer. Please contact your system administrator." I didn't have this problem in Office 2000. OS is Windows XP Professional SP3

Office2007 Fails To Start Received Office Home and Student as a Christmas gift. The install progressed without any problems.
But none of the applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote) wiil open. That is, start -> all programs -> microsoft office -> Word -> "click" starts the little arrow on the desktop. After perhaps 5 seconds, the arrow disappears. I have been by way of this process 3 or 4 times with the same result (using 'add/remove programs' to remove the previous install each time). Went on the Microsoft website and downloaded the free 60-day trial of Office 2007. That behaves exactly as the purchased cd. Programs do not function (eliminates faulty media as a cause I think). My system has capability that exceeds those listed on the package. Windows XP has the latest (automatic) updates and SP. One more thing: Prior to Feb, 2007 I was using Office 2000. Had a virus attack then - XP was reinstalled. From that point, Office 2000 was unusable - opening an application caused the error "This program must be installed to run ...". Haven't been able to get that one fixed. Could that relate to the problem with Office 2007? Thanks for any help! -- otd

I tried to install Office2007 (RTM) and get an error stating that steup can not continue because either a requierd file is corrupt or not available. Deploying Office2007 - Change Setup Hi I deployed MSO2007 using a startup script calling
"setup.exe /adminfile *.msp /config *.xml" on a network share. I did not set up the msp to remove the old Access as well as not install the new on. I now wish to change this on the clients and remove the old Access and install the new one. AFAIK, recalling the *.msp does not work to do this even if the MSP has been updated to reflect the new configuration.
How can I do this without having to do it manually on all the cleints? Thanks and most effective regards,

Office2007 Beta Tech Refresh Everytime I installed Office2007 BTR, it just pop up the UAC menu, then after I click "Allow", it just do nothing.
I had wait for 15 minutes to see whether there's anything pop up or something, but nothing appeared.
I already emptied the "Temp" folder, have more than 2GB free space.
