Default genuine office 2010 64bit key Ok need urgent help,

Office 2007 will not likely reinstall get a
1304 error with accessing dao.dll, retry = 2350 error, retry = final 1334 error 'acdaopia.dll' cannot be installed because it can't be determined in cabinet file 'enterww.cab' ('ve looked, it truly is there, 79kb)
any guide please.
And I have finished anything.
mbam picks up very little, genuine office 2010 64bit key, reg cleaned alot. deleted hkey entried 12.0 and so on. and all 0ff1ce and fec.
all workplace folders and files necisary.
still. failed install.
copied all from disc to hdd tried again.
tried office2003, similar error just with a variety of file.
any guide or tips welcome.

If it had been Office 2007 then I'd say there was some thing wrong with the disc. But given that its occurring to Workplace 2003 likewise, its potential somewhere your Windows continues to be corrupted.
Can you try and see in case your Workplace 2003 & 2007 can be put in on a totally different machine? If either installs, then you can:
(a) reinstall xp & sp3 and then office
(b) strive open workplace installation instead ->

What services (.msc) are required for this type of install ?
just encase

hehe no i mean office 2007, encase i have a little something disabled

When you set up from the workplace 2007 disc, it should have nothing at all to do with things being disabled. Its like any other software install – make sure you have no programs running in the background. Once successful, it will then need an internet connection to activate it

nope doesn't like me. still get install errors.

have you totally uninstalled all traces of old office programs?
microsoft only likes to give you 1 go, – so do it right the 1st time – or :(
not saying this is it – but could be anything to look at
maybe a fresh windows set up – then a system restore point – then isnstall office
- and ig you reinstall windows – get your security right before you go online>

I borrowed a friends 2007 pro instead of enterprise just to strive:
so close. so it isn't the disc, or cd-rom (moved to then ran from hdd).
there must be a little something left some where.
:<
The only registy entry that is left over from unsuccessful set up is really the 12.0. that I can find.
Could someone list for xp the crutial folders to empty out.
not the whole tutorial, just so I can jv 16 power tool each directory. to make sure.
how important is it to delete the %temp% files, even if you can see they are just antivirus and ie. related ?
thanks for the aid once again . haha btw. I woke up.... 8am.
it is now 1:25am. to put this in perspective.
I woke up, 8am... the other, other day.
BED TIME!

have you disabled your Antivirus when installing Office. Also your Firewall, if it really is not Windows Firewall.

also "encase" means to have an item in a case or to enclose. "In case" are the words you're looking for.

Have you searched your hard drive for these files? I wondering if one of these .dll files have been left behind on the hard drive and the set up utility is having trouble accessing them. If they exist, make sure they are not write protected. Also if they exist consider renaming them temporarily (careful you might break anything by doing this).

I think if the O.P has cleaned registry, achieved anything achievable to get it to work, then probably and reluctantly the only solution left is for format and start again

Do you have your XP disc?
If yes, then perhaps try out – sfc /scannow
ie. Start > Run > Type cmd click OK. > In the diag box type sfc /scannow (note there is a space between sfc & / ) then hit Enter on keyboard.
Must have your XP Disc in case it is needed.
Once it has finished, reboot & check out installing Workplace once again.
I think all the 'reg clean' and so on etc has stuffed your systems files.

If this is correct, a full format might be the only option left if all the above posts don't work

Before this step I would suggest the 'Repair Install' route first, if the 'sfc' does not resolve the office issue.

Absolutely. Too many lose faith in XP and nuke it for a bare metal install.
A carefully researched and meticulous repair install is a must before blasting your O.S. to smithereens.
8,cheap windows 7 32bit key,900,568 viewers of this page can't be all wrong :)
Read, mark, learn and inwardly digest before you even think of starting the repair set up.

Two things before I sfc /snanow, and repair xp.
what is dao360.dll from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO
ps.
Delete the following registry key
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0]
Delete the following registry key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\12.0]
both \office\ keys are empty.
Looked back through
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Microsoft\OFFICE\DATA
'C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared
both empty office.
normal.dotm normalemail.dotm
and building blocks.dotx all gone.
.
So must be corrupt windows file or an item.
thanks for your benefit I will re-read all and go through your tips then try out set up once again.
I thought maybe it had been the outlook.pst file having trouble reinstating in set up,win 7 update key, mainly because i observed in app data and local add data there was an outlook folder, but i looked for it today and it is gone.
edit: Would these be vital?
Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile for Windows XP x86 (KB982670)
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847) x86
Or just:
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 ( I have sp3 should it be offering this update? )
and there are 5 .tmp files I cant remove, even using 'unlocker', but I know they are for CA AV.
wishz me luck

Good luck!

I noticed on desktop, word and outlook shortcuts nonetheless remain, like a now defunct, genuine win 7 64 bit key, word file still has the short up word image. :S shouldn't that be gone by now.
ps. ran scan now, now booting from disc.

anemone writes...
shouldn't that be gone by now
Not necessarily. I recently upgraded my brothers Office 2003 to Office 2007 and the icons for Office 2003 were however there. I just deleted them

made boot from cd default on next page has Boot from CD....
Press any key to boot from cd.
step 6 says not to press any key.
but i assume that is after going through step 2 -5. which i cant, when it doesn't automatically boot from cd.
should i just press any key?
also when I put cds in my comp they never auto run. could this be why?

ok i pressed any key, it didn't run a welcome to setup screen went straight to blue screen with 'loading....' and loaded numerous elements.
but i wasn't keen to let it keep going as there was no welcome to setup screen or 'to setup windows xp press enter' or 'to repair windows xp installation using recovery console pres...'
so I exited.
So I don't know what to do now.
:<

maybe my xp pro disc is faulty, and I don't really want to download an iso + use my original key, for the reason that last thing I want to do is boot from a disc i'm not sure is virus free LOL > – <

anemone writes...
because last thing I want to do is boot from a disc i'm not sure is virus free
maybe you'll just have to buy a legit one then.

anemone writes...

This is normal. You should press any key to boot from cd. It will start loading (with a blue screen). Takes a few minutes to load files and eventually you'll get to the ' Welcome to Setup' screen together with the option to press Enter to set up Windows or press R to use the Recovery Console.

anemone writes...
maybe my xp pro disc is faulty,
It is a very good idea to print out the repair install instructions from the page I gave you and then follow them to the absolute letter.
That you are asking about the normal loading pattern suggests that you are not quite up to speed on the process. Read. Read. Then read again. It is all there.

trust, i've read it. have it printed infront of me. im on webs on diff computer other one is ofcourse off net.
I'm stuck on this.
XP Repair Set up.
1. completed.
2. No welcome to setup up. = 2 3 4 5 invalid.
6. valid step, as what does come up is 'press any key to boot from cd'
guide says >do not<.
So I press anykey anyway as it might lead to step 2.
Goes straight to loading components, so I exit.
Is where I am at: looking for Welcome to setup screen.
I don't want recovery console. As noted in steps. >do not<.
though will there be a 'To setup Windows XP now. press enter' option if I just press anykey to begin with?
Ps. yes searched for Opal2.dat and dao.dll. not there. and acdaopia.dll not there. I should be free of office.
Also someone said about reg clean might have messed a thing up..
I agree. ccleaner has a gentle reg clean. Power Tools is a reg rape-r.
even on moderate mode.
.
haha I know i'm trying to get rid of workplace but what if I set up:
and set up workplace over the top. Might allow access to.dll's like dao.dll, if it is already on my pc. I don't know.

anemone writes...
Goes straight to loading components, office 2010 pro 32bit key, so I exit.
Don't exit here. Just wait, let it run through and eventually it will give you the option to press enter to setup Windows.
1. Press Any Key to Boot from CD.
1a. Wait. Wait. Wait. (While it loads)
2. You will get the screen asking you to press 'enter' to setup Windows.

sassa writes...
2. You will get the screen asking you to press 'enter' to setup Windows.
step 5. select XP installation you want to repair from the list and press R, to start repair. If Repair is not one of the options, END setup.
Which should I press R on. and how do I tell if it is one of the options.

use the fix-it tool here:
hope this works :)

Thanks for looking that up man is that the office 2007 fix it.
funnily enough the 2003 workplace fix it ran and removed some stuff, the 2007 fix it said not valid to my software or one thing, so didn't run.
Basically it does what I did manually, just removes traces.
Ps. I went back to the other pc rebooted. (thinking I had office 2007 in disc drive) it booted by hdd.
Cd was gone :O I thought maybe my pc had got so angry, it had eaten the cd to strive and fix the issue.
turns out it had migrated across the house with me, for some.. reason hahah, been working on this for a good 10 hours.

try also using the windows installer clean up utility
click on the internode mirror to get it
run it and then uninstall any workplace versions you see
try reinstalling office
hopefully that error will go away

I think the O.P has come to a point where a decision may need to be taken – Should more time be spent trying to get Workplace to set up or start from scratch on a clean set up of XP and then Workplace 2007. The only thing I can see left to do before making this decision is to take the CD to another machine and see if it installs and progresses beyond where the O.P currently gets to on the xp machine. That will prove if the CD is faulty or not.

I would have experimented with reinstalling service pack 3 before a windows repair install.

crap crap, windows repair failed during installing xp step.
any ideas.
data error: cyclic redundancy check (1(or i)386\asms on cd drice.)

Either you've got a dodge XP disk, OR, considering you're having seemingly random issues copying OTHER files during setup processes, you might just have a minro RAM issue. It really is been known to happen.

ram issues... due to cacheman, perhaps?
ill post my ram details later.
but for now one query.
faithful old sony drive is working thus far, should 'instal will complete in approximately: ##minutes' decrease during instal?

Haha, There's a few points in time where that will halt and look like it is really not going anywhere. 13 Minutes is the biggest.
Otherwise, as long as the little green dots in the bottom right are moving, you should be right.
If you manage to get a full repair accomplished, I'd be less inclined to say that you had faulty RAM, but it really is always nice to check anyways. A thing like Memtest off the Ubuntu Live CD will do the trick.

anemone writes...
data error: cyclic redundancy check (1(or i)386\asms on cd drice.)
Generally means bad disk, bad CD/DVD drive, dodgy sata or IDE cable or even suspect sata or ide port.
anemone writes...

Get rid of it, totally useless snakeoil crap that does very little for your PC despite all the claims.
Oh don't suppose you have undertaken some thing silly like disable the swap file have you?

swap.... file? which service is this. lol.
Also. My instal has long been on 39mins for a while. so I restarted. very well to be honest...i pressed shift + f10 to then run taskmgr, to then prioritize setup.. alas it froze (without cmd opening), so then i restarted. the option to select and repair xp was gone, only hdds showed but upon exiting then booting from disc by time out, it began back to where i was. now trying once again.
also specy is very simple and good by piriform.
edit: um in cacheman before installing i thought it was a good idea to select windows as controller of cache not cacheman.
does this answer your query about 'swap file'? what ever swap file is. one thing to do with paging file?
although from my memory there is usual a cachemanserv.exe running in task manager when i usually boot up. could this be interfering? if so how do i disable from setup screen. also can i open shift + f10 cmd thing, out side the final instalation window. like earlier in windows screen before xp setup screen. to put a value in to prioritize "setup.exe".
also for reference i did check out and run workplace 2007 disc in my sony cd rom drive on the third attempt but went back to my burning rom when it failed. i think i might have had a higher success rate only using the sony.

silly question i know. but if i unplug my hdd, the data will even now be there when i plug it in once again later >_> I mean I know it should.
but...
I like to make sure.

anemone writes...
the data will however be there when i plug it in yet again later
yeah it'll be there when you connect it again

anemone writes...
i think i might have had a higher success rate only using the sony.
It really may be time to obtain a mate who is clued up on XP or to pay someone to do the job for you. You really sound as though you are not going to manage this yourself.
Over and out.

haha I was just checking. Had to un plug all hard ware, as froze at 39mins. got a new xp cd. worked fine. nearly on xp now

gr. 'cannot open your default email folders' error in outlook.
any ideas.
