Hello everyone, I am starting a video marketing business for Local Businesses. I have been specializing in building traffic for businesses using Search Engine Optimization techniques for several years. I have decided to take that special knowledge and use it to the benefit of directing buying traffic to local businesses. I am currently doing a promotion for Dentists,moncler on sale, Anacortes, WA, and I will continue doing this until I have made a positive impact upon Google results for that term and other terms related to dentistry in Anacortes, WA.
I became interested in this business, after being in a career which involved search engine optimization for clients needing more traffic for their businesses. I became very good at being able to drive traffic to clients as well as my own web pages.
One day I focused upon the fact that people were using the internet in a way that they used to use the yellow pages. I contiously found myself going to Google for such simple things as local business phone numbers, and, when I wanted to purchase something like a camera or find a plumber, I always go to Google first, not the yellow pages. For instance, for my Video Marketing Business, I needed a video camera, so i went to Google and typed in to the search box, the following: Kodak Zi8 camera, anacortes,ghd pink, WA. What is impressive here is, that I already had my credit card out of his wallet, and was simply price shopping the local market which was within my driving preferences. This is the true profile of a willing buyer.
But, let us pause and analyze what is going on here. We are going through an internet revolution, in which everyone on the planet is capable of asking a simple question on the internet in the form of: where can I buy a Kodak Zi8 near the town of Loganville Alabama? Or where can I find a local plumber in "mytown". Or, "mytown", plumber. What this means, in simple terms,mbt sandal, are, that the yellow pages are dying, and they will only survive by trying to clone themselves as something other than a print directory.
Many are now trying to do that by offering, in addition to your yellow page listing, web services or the mini web page! But you are expected to continue paying for your yellow page ad as well? This sounds like an industry trying to quickly adapt. What is wrong with that equation? And, I ask that question in the context of you considering going with the typical Yellow page modified web directory instead of with someone qualified to conduct video marketing for you or teach you how to do it yourself.
Learning how to do it yourself or hiring a Marketing company to drive quality traffic to your local business site, will in my opinion be much more effective than directories such as Yellow Pages in the future. Also, they are a Directory, and they cannot refuse any of your competitors in your area or anywhere for that matter. So why subsidize a directory that will give more visibility to your competition if your competition buys a bigger ad?
