Chapter 1: Midnight Rendezvous…
Rays of the moon escaped as the clouds slowly dissipated revealing the moon's full visage. It radiantly sat in the heavens surrounded by the twinkling jewels it dwarfed. It danced on the gentle waves of the Crystal Lake below, hidden deep in the meadow. On the banks of the lake sat a young boy, as a cold breeze rolling from the lake flirted with his unnatural white hair. The moon's light gently caressed his milky skin, while the stars twinkled in his ghostly eyes. He carefully reached into his leather backpack and gently pulled out his Panpipe. He placed it on his firm lips, and began playing a soothing serenade to the Crystal Lake. He continued to play his melody undisturbed by the phenomena occurring in front of him. The once calm lake began to agitate violently. It crashed into the banks spraying cold water all over the boy who continued to play his panpipe unfazed. Soon the water began to calm and a figure from the center of the lake had risen form the deep. She slowly approached the boy, strolling on top of the water, creating gentle ripples at every step she took. The boy gazed at the beauty slowly coming forth. Her waist long silver-blue hair danced into the night breeze. The moon's light slid with ease down her sensual curves. She was tall and slender; with sapphire eyes so breathtaking it seemed to be a piece of heaven itself. She carefully kneeled in front of the speechless boy, who stared silently. She gently tilted her head to the side; the boy somehow understood what she desired. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and began to play his serenade once more. As the night was coming to an end, she began to stand up to leave. The boy gently but tightly grasped unto her wrist. She stopped in her tracks and gazed into his sorrowful eyes, which pleaded that she stays with him forever. She smiled, and gently kissed the boy, before disappearing back into the lake…
The sky began to rip apart as the sound of lighting echoed throughout the valley. And heavy rain began to bombard the region. The boy found himself back in the middle of the rural road, standing, as he awoke from his mysterious daydream. He continued to wait patiently gripping his sword in his serene pale hand, while questioning the meaning of the sudden hallucination. He decided to ponder later due to the assignment at hand…
"Wow, this rain came in quite fast and hard don't you think Mr. Kanzaki?" asked Sarah, a new full-fledged Xeno Soldier, trying to relieve his tension. Mr. Kanzaki didn't respond for he was too worried about the threat he had received earlier that day. "You shouldn't worry about that call Mr. Kanzaki, it was probably a bluff. Even if they did send an assassin, he would be no match against us, the Xeno Soldiers." Sarah smirked arrogantly. Mr. Kanzaki managed to break a smile.
"May-may-be you are right, bu-but I should have probably yielded to their demand to be on the safer side…" He stuttered. Suddenly, the Limousine squealed to a halt, throwing Sarah and Mr. Kanzaki from their seats. "What's going on, Jason?" Sarah called out to the Xeno Soldier driving as she climbed back to her seat.
"There is someone blocking the road! Sarah! Lock all the doors and watch over Mr. Kanzaki." Jason ordered while stepping outside the limo. Mr. Kanzaki began to freak out; "Damn, damn, damn! I don't like this at all! Come on! Let's go! Just drive over the fellow or something!" he yelled. Sarah tried to reassure the agitated old man, "Don't worry Sir, no harm will come to you, Xeno Soldiers are the strongest in the world. No one can possibly beat us-…" A gunshot followed by a scream interrupted Sarah.
Suddenly the lifeless face of Jason smeared slowly across Sarah's passenger window. She shrieked as she jumped back. When she turned to face Mr. Kanzaki, a split second later a blade came piercing through the roof of the limousine as it entered the top of Mr. Kanzaki's skull. Sarah stared in horror, as the blade retracted, leaving the old man drowning in a pool of his own blood. Summoning her courage, Sarah darted out of the limousine as she stumbled on her feet trying to pull out her gun. She spotted the assassin crouched on the roof of the limo, and fired a clip of ammo. The assassin proved inhuman dodging her bullets with ease by flipping through the air, and sprinting towards the fearful soldier with his godlike speed…
Sarah's eyes grew large as she felt cold steel running through her abdomen with her warm blood oozing all over the assassin's forehand. The assassin gazed at her teal eyes, struggling to survive while she grinded her teeth with vengeance. Her grip on the assassin's hand, futility attempting to pull out his blade, slowly weakened. After using up the last ounces of her strength she collapsed on the assassin. Time passed while the assassin remained frozen still carrying her weight. He slowly drew back his sword releasing her limp body in his arm. The young Azrael gently placed her on the ground, closing her eyes with his pale blood stained fingers; before vanishing into the woods replacing his sword back in its sheath. The rain washed the blood from his pale hands.
Behind the cover of the thunder clouds, the moon glowed a tainted red, a tribute, to the night of blood… to the birth the new god of death, Eien…
