Default How to Make a Swarovski Heart Pendant

How to Make a Swarovski Heart Pendant
Swarovski heart pendants are hung from necklaces and bracelets and will add some class and sparkle to your outfit. As of January 2010, buying a Swarovski heart pendant for a necklace will cost you anywhere from $20 to $35. Thankfully, you can make one yourself with a few simple, inexpensive supplies. You should also know a few things about the different kinds of "bails" or the component that will allow you to string your pendant onto a necklace.
Purchase a Swarovski crystal heart pendant bead from a jewelry store, or a website that sells them. Make sure that the heart comes with a hole in the top near the edge. You will also need to buy a pinch bail (also known as a prong bail),Thomas Sabo Turquoise Circle Feather Pendant, which is found in jewelry supply stores or online. The pinch bail is needed for this project because it is the easiest way to attach a thick pendant such as a crystal to a chain. It has two prongs that will link onto the pendant and a loop at the top to run a chain through.
Use a pair of needle nose pliers to gently pry the bail's two prongs apart if they aren't already. Place the hole on the top of your heart crystal between the two prongs so that the prong in back is flush with the hole on the back side of the crystal. Hold the bail and pendant in place and use your needle nose pliers to pinch the front of the bail down so that it becomes flush with the front of the pendant.
Tug gently on the bail to make sure it is attached securely to the crystal heart. Run the end of your chain through the loop in the top of the bail and it is ready to be worn.
