"Raising children is not only related to individuals and families, but also to economic and social development," she was quoted by the Beijing Youth Daily yesterday.
Heated debate online began last month following the report of a pregnant Sichuan woman suffering from depression for fear of becoming a "child's slave".
Guan Ying, a senior researcher with Tianjin Academy of Social Sciences, said media hype in exaggerating the pressure of being a "child's slave" might mislead youngsters to avoid their responsibility of raising the next generation.
"These parents prefer imported milk powder product to breast feeding, and pay a lot money for a place in luxurious private kindergartens rather than public kindergartens, adidas football," she said.
She noted the saying of "child's slave" exaggerated the cost of raising a child as some parents are pursuing unreasonable ideas of consumption.
However, franklin and marshall, a survey released this week by the Beijing Youth Daily showed that 47 percent of those surveyed believe "media hype is exaggerating the cost of raising a child in China".
"I really want to have a baby in the first year after getting married. I refused some men on blind dates as they didn't show responsibility towards rearing a baby," Su Jun, a 28-year-old Beijing girl, told China Daily on Tuesday. "Having children will make my marriage more solid," she said.
Pan Jintang, a professor at the school of labor and human resources under Renmin University of China, said "child's slave" is a self-mocking way for low-income families to face the fact that the cost of rearing a child is on the rise.
And a new phrase - "child's slave" - has even become popular in the Chinese media, playing on reports of "mortgage slaves" saddled with large payments for apartments, cars and credit cards.
If parents-to-be take the time to make a financial plan when expecting a baby, it's less likely to come as a shock and more likely to help them enjoy the parenting process without constantly fretting about the effect their kids are having on their retirement plans, he said.
It does not mean that children aren't worth the expense - it simply reminds investors and parents alike that they should be aware of the financial impact personal decisions can have on their financial situations, he said.
Gu Baochang, adizero f50, a professor at the population development studies center with Renmin university, adidas adizero, said the popularity of the phrase "child's slave" reflects the ambivalence of Chinese youngsters in urban regions. They grow up in better living situations than their parents,Christian Louboutin, but they have to face the pressure of raising their children in a more competitive society, he said.

More than 47 percent of those surveyed believed "it is normal to undertake the pressure of raising children", and that pressure should not be an excuse to escape the responsibility of raising children.
Nearly half said "child's slave" is the wrong concept and can erase the "happiness and proud feeling" of parents in the process of raising a child.
Half of the survey's 2,chaussure louboutin pas cher,915 respondents were born after the country's reform and opening up, and the establishment of the one-child policy.
Around 48 percent of those surveyed plan to have two children - as policy allows if both parents are single children - while 34 percent only want to raise one child. Only 5.2 percent clearly stated they didn't want to have a baby, louboutin pas cher, said the survey.
Many people have heard that a child is a blessing, adidas f50, but the cost of raising one can be curse.
Without at least a little financial forethought, parents might find that the pitter-patter of little feet is running off with their wallets.
