[Ed] had a netbook he no lengthier required and made a decision to make it right into a mini MAME cabinet for a few of his family members. MAME cabinets are quite plentiful, but this one particular was so nicely completed, we wished to reveal it.
He removed the monitor from an EeePC 901 to be able to get some exact measurements, then went about crafting a mini cabinet from MDF. The entire issue was wrapped in sticky label paper adorned with old-school Galaga graphics,
Office Professional 2010, then coated in plexiglass for any good sleek search that also safeguards the artwork.
He used an iPac two controller board to wire up every one of the buttons and joystick towards the netbook,
Office 2010 Key, opting to solder the controller’s wires directly on the USB header on the eeePC’s motherboard. A power switch was added up on top for easy operation,
Microsoft Office Professional 2010, and the cabinet was sealed shut,
Office 2007, though the back does open easily in the event that maintenance is required. The system is managed using the Maximus Arcade front end for MAME, which [Ed] claims is incredibly easy.
