The Fashion East line-up this year featured three vibrant emerging talents: Holly Fulton, Heikki Salonen and Michael Van Der Ham.

Victoria Beckham made a surprise visit to London Fashion Week this afternoon to view the collections by young designers showing under the Fashion East 2010 banner.

Michael Van Der Ham continued his fascination with Andy Warhol's deconstruction of an exhibition curated by Diana Vreeland in the 70s, which featured designs by Halston, Oscar de la Renta, Valentino and Diane von Furstenberg. Van Der Ham patch-worked his homage in lame, printed brocade, sand-washed silk satin,tods footwear, organza and metallics for a contemporary take on the era. He has recently designed a capsule collection for the Matches chain of boutiques.

Mrs Beckham's favourite collection was the Art Deco, Empire State Building-inspired collection by the Royal College of Art graduate, Holly Fulton. Crystals, beading and plastic graphics created dazzling architectural motifs on her leather, silk and PVC designs, in black and white, aquamarine and yellow,discount belstaff coat, with matching neckpieces.

Heikki Salonen, from Finland, also a graduate of the RCA, who currently works for Diesel as a creative consultant, took his inspiration from Ingmar Bergman films, for a range of functional dresses and separates in gauze, cotton,ugg matala sandal, linen and denim, accessorised with distressed tan DMs.
"I'm in London to do a bit of work," she said, referring to her own Victoria Beckham collection of dresses ,tods on sale, which was shown at New York Fashion Week recently."I've heard so much about this show and I wanted to show my support for young designers. I know what it's like, how stressful and scary it can be."
Their collections were shown outdoors, in the stone basement corridors, under the former home of the Inland Revenue, at Somerset House,Birkenstock Clogs, LFW's new HQ.

Today I am leaving for a two week vacation to Europe. My long lost college roommate and I are going to be hitting up Spain and Italy and in Italy Vlad will be meeting up with us for a Gondola ride or two! I am super excited for this vacation and this time will actually be vacationing. We are lucky enough to have someone who will write posts for me while I am gone, Nerdphanie!
