Some weeks in the past we now have started experiencing an irritating and
inexplicable condition where by Entourage consumers would all of a sudden be
disconnected from Exchange. However, OWA also would not deliver the results, but MS
Outlook continued to do the trick great.
Thanks to MAPi nevertheless running I'm guessing this has something to undertake IIS,
Windows 7 Starter Key,
but you can find little to help this with the logs and what the result in is.
Only thing I can obtain is within the Programs log as follows :-
"
17:05:29 Faulting software inetinfo.exe, edition six.0.3790.1830,
Microsoft Office 2010 Home And Student Product Key,
faulting module TransportScan.dll, version six.0.1148.0,
Office Home And Student 2010 32bit, fault handle

17:07:01 Reporting queued error: faulting software w3wp.exe,
Microsoft Office 2010 Pro Plus, model

What we're staying told is usually that IIS must be re-installed whilst
the process is not as uncomplicated as running the installer once more. It
usually requires backing up Exchange, de-installing Exchange, re-installing
IIS, re-installing Exchange and restoring mailboxes.
I am reluctant to move forward not having knowinginvestigating about any
challenges to our 90 Entourage/3 Outlook consumers and their email, calendars,
delegated calendaring,
Windows 7 Activation, etc.
Does any one have any knowledge of the re-install and may advise around the
practice?
Server: Windows Enterprise Server 2003 SP2, Exchange 2003 SP.
Also runs Symantec Backup Exec 10.x, McAfee AntiVirus, McAfee
GroupShield.
