Default PlAy wiTH PErcEption – LOST in Mango | Julie Robinson Art

PlAy wiTH PErcEption – LOST in Mango By julie|Paintings|4 Comments What's In A Name? I used to steer clear from naming my paintings.Â* I would use theÂ*default "untitled", or a number in a series.Â* I told myself that I didn't want to influence supermarket coupons the viewer with a label.Â* Really, I was intimidated to put a name on my work. Now I consider naming each painting as a part of the creative experience and thoroughly enjoy it.Â* Occasionally a shopping coupons title will come to me as I am working on the piece, but most often it's a process that I go through after the work is complete.Â* I spend time gazing at the piece and feel into it.Â* I look at it before I go to sleep and wake up looking at it.Â* I let it simmer until a title comes. We are all who we are because of our point of view, and our point of viewÂ*shapes who we are.Â* Naming a painting is how I play with my perceptions,Â*all coming from my point of view. LOST coupons discounts In Mango This one stumped me at first. As I kept looking at it I would lose myself in the painting, so I kept hearing the word "Lost", which was also one of my favorite TV shows.Â* Mango does refer to the color, but it also has a cultural reference to India, that I love.Â* It is the national mar ket coupons fruit of India.Â* Ganesha often holds a mango in his hand as a symbol of attainment, and the blossoms areÂ* used in the worship of Saraswati.Â*Â* And saffron, I can almost taste it. Take a look, and see what your perception is of "LOST In Mango". In one word, more but not less.
