Just the idea of Yogi chatting with Joba for a few minutes makes me smile.
Yogi is a real treat to have around. I find it charming that he relies on Ron Guidry,

The Gods of baseball have reserved a seat at the leaders table for Yogi. They are waiting patiently for him to join their executive committee. He is honored for the ten years he told Steinbrenner to “stuff it”. His warmth and judgement will make him a gteat addition to their ranks.
And of course,

So I was coming back to my hotel room early this evening,

There’s just something neat about that. The greatest living Yankee is sleeping just a few feet away. Sounds like the start of a novel.

Yogi to me is the last of a generation. His presence links the Yanlees past to its future in a way that makes me happy.
