* Last week Colette, the hip boutique on Rue St Honore,
nike sb, brought traffic to a standstill. What caused the stir wasn’t the right-hand window, dedicated to Hussein Chalayan’s shipwrecked collection (beautiful though it was). No,
nike air max womens, the buzz was whipped up by two middle-aged women in poodle perms and frump chic who held centre stage in the left-hand window. Chillingly realistic and not the kind of customer usually seen in Colette -their expressions were far too animated. It turned out that they were mannequins designed by Bless, otherwise known as Desiree Heiss and Ines Kaag, conceptual fashion designers who also design products. The duo,
ugg utral short, graduates of fashion schools in Hannover and Vienna, met in Paris at a competition and now collaborate from their separate bases, Heiss in Berlin and Kaag in Paris. Previous "special projects" include making fur wigs for Martin Margiela’s winter 1997 show; providing Bless beauty products for a Kostas Murkudis show and customising shoes for Jean Colonna,
hogan store, as well as numerous ############## exhibitions. As for the Colette shop window, they say: "We wanted to do a fashion presentation that was accessible to everyone, where you didn’t need an invite to get in and ideas of beauty were more democratic."

The Smythson award for fab invitations went to
Christian Louboutin, whose new friend, the director Tim Burton,
new mbt shoes, illustrated pink school exercise books with charmingly scary drawings for his Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious show (try running that through spell check). The two are admirers of one another’s work – part of
Christian Louboutin’s show was inspired by Sleepy Hollow -and he asked Burton to design a book just like the ones he had at Rokeby School for Boys, doodles and all. Destined to be collector’s items.

Today I am leaving for a two week vacation to Europe. My long lost college roommate and I are going to be hitting up Spain and Italy and in Italy Vlad will be meeting up with us for a Gondola ride or two! I am super excited for this vacation and this time will actually be vacationing. We are lucky enough to have someone who will write posts for me while I am gone, Nerdphanie! You all remember her as a guest blogger! Now she is signed on as a two week blogger to fill my spot. She will bring you lots of new bags and goodies to look at. I will be posting sporadically, but not my usual four or five posts a day
